I don’t even know where to begin—our stay at Tyax Lodge and Heliskiing was nothing short of a dream come true! I had secretly planned to propose to my girlfriend during our stay, and coordinated everything in advance with the incredible hotel staff through Booking.com. What awaited us when we arrived was beyond perfect. We had a stunning room with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains right from our balcony—it truly felt like something out of a fairytale. The staff went above and beyond to make everything smooth and comfortable. Whether it was helping with an HDMI cable for my MacBook, bringing us bowls for our instant noodles, or providing cutlery—every little request was met with warmth and care. And then came the big moment: on June 1st, I proposed to my girlfriend on the beautiful coastal side of the hotel, surrounded by nature’s beauty… and she said yes! The view, the setting, the emotion—it was all absolutely unforgettable. What made it even more special? The staff, who had all been part of the secret, celebrated with us by preparing congratulatory cocktails. Everyone had been in on the surprise—except for my girlfriend! Later at dinner, we were served with such care and kindness—special thanks to Tetiana and Nico. Nico, one of the chefs, surprised us with two beautiful chocolate cakes bearing heartfelt messages: “To Future Mr & Mrs” and “Cheers to Forever.” It was thoughtful, emotional, and honestly the cherry on top of an already magical day. Beyond the proposal, we also enjoyed a peaceful canoe ride, relaxed in the sauna, and explored the amazing facilities—everything was well-maintained, beautifully designed, and added so much to our stay. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting or experience for our engagement. Tyax Lodge made it all possible—it felt like something out of a storybook.
