United StatesAbsolutely an excellent stay at such a unique location, that I don't know anywhere in the states you could find. Super clean, large suites, with friendly staff, even with our very late check in. Downtown location is perfect, many small stores and sight seeing / parks with in walking distance, including a brewery, coffee, book store and banking locations.

We use to live between Blenheim and Chatham Ontario from 1991 till September of 1995 I and my husband worked on a tobacco farm the first year we lived there, second year I was 7 months pregnant with my 4th shield, I couldn’t do just about any job at the moment, so we picked Cucumbers that year. My 2 1/2 year old I had behind me where I built a tiny tent where he was safe, so he could play and sleep, I also toilet trained him on the field, my 1 1/2 year old I had in front of me under shelter in his car seat, and one on the way in my belly pouch. Plus my daughter is born in Wallis burg Ontario. For us coming to Chatham, is keeping memories alive and making new ones. So yes I would recommend Chatham Ontario to other people. I would not recommend picking cucumbers 7 months pregnant, and a 1 and 2 year old with them though lol . Yet for me I would do it all over agin. 100%

We just spent the night so I don't have much to share.
We just spent the night so I don't have much to share. Next to the hotel was a nice place for dinner and Tim Horton's across the street for morning coffee and a bite to eat. It seems like a very nice blue-collar town in which we were comfortable, felt safe, found everything we needed. Getting back to the 401 was a bit of a drive but easy to find.

We were expecting to use the pool, yet no one told us at the front desk that the pool heater was not working.
Yet they gave us a key for the pool.
The pool was far too cold to use.
Our room was very tired and dark.
Our daughter and her family had a beautifully renovated room on the 10th floor. The same type of room should had been offered to everyone.
The breakfast was okay. No forks for food.
The workers at the front desk were very professional and pleasant.

Wasn't much going on in town when I was there.
Wasn't much going on in town when I was there. Went to a beach about a 40 min. drive from there in a place called Erieau. However changerooms and washrooms were locked. Didn't spend as much time as i could have.
Went to another place called Wheatley another 45 mins. Biting flies on the beach!

We used Chatham as a base for driving to other local communities. The road transportation links were excellent. Dining downtown was a bit of hit and miss as it is not a very welcoming area. We found two really good ice cream shops for after dinner treats and Teena's Restaurant - across the street from the Comfort Inn - served great food at very reasonable prices.

Where I was working the motel was only 9 minutes away,...
Where I was working the motel was only 9 minutes away, everything was in close proximity to the motel, very friendly staff, nice morning breakfast, nice motel room and I asked for a wake up call every morning and got it, would recommend it to everyone, no issues at all.

Although the motel is older everything we needed worked fine and the unit was clean. The owners were extremely pleasant to deal with and accommodating. Would definitely be my first choice when back in Chatham, and financially it was an fantastic deal.
