Set in Matlock, Aaron's on the Lake offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and lake views. The beds were very very comfy. The room was roomy and the couch was very comfy too. Bathroom was a good size and the shower didn't leak at all.
With garden views, Pebble Springs BnB - Belair is set in Grand Beach and has free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers an American or vegetarian breakfast. The place is really beautiful, clean and feels like home, and the hosts are very nice and friendly, and made our one day stay comfortable and they served us delicious homemade food thats exceptional. A great place for our mini getaway...great hosts Monica and Bob thank you....
A bustling little tourist town. Cute and quaint with lots of fun little shops and plenty of wonderful restaurants. The fresh pickerel is to die for! The scenery is absolutely beautiful:) Many places to take amazing photos. Explore the town on foot and enjoy the outdoors. A great little getaway. A gem for sure!
The beachfront hotel was fabulous. I can't believe there are not more of them since Manitoba has so many lakes. The town of Gimli was beautiful, with great shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed the Beach Boys restaurant, we picked up food and ate on the balcony of our hotel. Breakfast at the Lakeview hotel, was really good. We are outside and the view of the lake was amazing.
I visited on Labour day weekend so some services were closed for the rest of the week. I loved walking on the beach. Washrooms were still open. I ate in the Seagulls restaurant and was glad that Subway and Tim Hortons are in the town. I ate pickerel at Beach Boy. Great to eat fish not cooked in batter! I walked around the town and found it very easy. I went to the Municipal Office for more information on walks and accommodation. They were very helpful and printed lists and and maps.
Cute summer tourist & urban centre lake retreat. Eating out options galore & wonderful green beach parks for swimming, ( subject to chloroform & algae counts). July- August festivities non stop.
We did plan to stay longer as we have enjoyed our vacations there but the weather wasn't what we expected at this time of the year with all the rains and winds. Great to see a few more shops open up, homes renovated and also the new homes build. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks around town and also the different restaurants. Still a beautiful resort town!
Enjoyed walking around the lake and browsing the shops. Tergesens store is always a highlight. It was handy to have the Sobeys in town for snacks and drinks. As far as restaurants go, the Pickerel at Beach Boys was my favourite this trip but you can't beat the view from the Patio at Seagull's in the Lakeview Hotel - it was a beautiful spot for breakfast on a sunny morning.
