Walking distance both from the waterfront and the city center, this B&B is strategically located in a calm residential area. I can't speak highly enough about the hosts, who made me feel at home, that's what I call superlative spirit of service. They were extremely helpful guiding me to restaurants and things to do/visit but also offered great conversations when I gave them the opportunity. Thank you so much, one of those places I will remember for life!

The cabins that are renovated are super comfy and warm. The staff were amazing and the ladies stayed on site. If I needed anything, they were accommodating.

Gravenhurst is a lovely little town but keep in mind, that...

Gravenhurst is a lovely little town but keep in mind, that some stores are not open on Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays. The downtown core is losing a lot of their stores, but THE BAKERY off of the main street (Brock St.)has the best honey-dipped doughnuts and the chelseas and cinnamon loaf plus the sourdough bread! Family owned. The Blue Willow Tea House is a wonderful experince too!! Great selection of teas. Reservations are recommended for tea service, but well worth it... We have been to Bethune house and learned so much about this Canadian Doctor ...very knowledgeable staff. Great places for hikes too.

The Boston Pizza was a nice dining place and it is near to waterfront activities. We went to the Torrance Barrens for stargazing, the moon was too bright for star-observing though, the sunset on the waterfront and beavers in the ponds were so cute and surprisingly delightful to watch. The Tree Museum was a good idea, however, the flying bugs in the woods were quite disturbing in the summer. The unexpected antique car show turns out to be a highlight of our short trip during the weekend.

Beautiful town, the Bethune house museum is definitely worth...

Beautiful town, the Bethune house museum is definitely worth a visit. Very informative. Most places seem to be walkable,park car and go. The Wenonah2 ship was good, BUT it is like touring the fancy cottages. Kind of disappointed that Lake Muskoka is so built up .

Like the city, it has a nice access and activities to the lake. The boat trip to view the fireworks was mediocre. Unlike boat tours in different areas, there was no information or explanation about the area, history etc…it was also hard to view the fireworks the way the boat was located.

Gravenhurst is a beautiful town with great vistas of Lake...

Gravenhurst is a beautiful town with great vistas of Lake Muskoka. We stayed at the Taboo but it was kind of off the beaten track so we didn't get to dine out because it was too far to drive. We were only there for 2 days and unfortunately it rained on one of them so we didn't get to take the cruise. The shops were lovely. Getting around wasn't easy ...the signs were poor for visitors who didn't know the area. I think if we came again we would stay at the Residence because it is closer to the amenities and restaurants.

The breakfast was wonderful, freshly made. Unfortunately there was construction on the streets around the house, but for the most part that didn't bother us. Despite being on a main street (for Gravenhurst!) the room was quite quiet. It's a lovely old house, well furnished with thoughtful touches throughout the house.

This was a last minute whim to stay in Gravenhurst for the night and we had a wonderful stay with Bill and Ange. We can't think of anything that could have been better. They were welcoming and wonderful people. The breakfast was excellent and the bedroom was very comfortable.
