The setting of Villa Eyrie was absolutely gorgeous; it wasn't too far from Victoria, which made it easy to drive to. We stayed in one of the master suites with a large jacuzzi bath. It was the perfect feature to relax in after a long day! They've got a spa and restaurant, which looked lovely, but we didn't get a chance to try them out. 100% would recommend!

This is truly one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed at. Nestled in a quiet bay in Malahat, the property is both secluded and breathtakingly beautiful. Covering an expansive 53 acres, the house is built on the hillside overlooking the bay, complete with its own private dock. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see seals resting on the dock and wild deer wandering through the forested grounds. On the other side of the property, the beach is rich with shellfish, making the whole experience feel absolutely magical. The house itself is exquisitely decorated with unique touches, including many traditional Chinese elements that show the host’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Every corner reflects a sense of care and artistry. Overall, this was a dreamy stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking both comfort and wonder in Malahat.

Well organised apartment and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, cooker, large microwave, large fridge, dishwasher and coffee/tea bags to settle in. Also washing machine and dryer - really handy.

Beautiful house in a great location with everything we needed. Hassy was a great host, friendly and helpful with great communication. We loved being out of the city but still with easy access to everything and everywhere we needed. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again.

A cozy cottage in a beautiful setting. We only got a short stay in but it was so lovely and relaxing. The cottage was clean and super comfy. The hosts were onsite and very accommodating to our last minute booking. I can't wait to come back.

The Kinsol Trestle and Malahat Skywalk are nearby and should be visited. Spectacle Lake is very close and great for short hikes. If driving to/from the Saanich Peninsula, take the small Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay BC ferry.

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of...

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of highway rather than a city or town but it was beautiful. The highway is quite busy most of the time and it's easy to miss your turn offs but there are a lot of U-turn areas as well. There are a few lovely natural areas/lakes/parks in the area that are great for hiking and enjoying. A vehicle is needed but it's only a half hour or less into Victoria as well.

We took the bedside lamp and put it on the kitchen table to see our food. Also, be careful with the blinds as they opened easily however, they got stuck when trying to lower them. Bring slippers, the floor isn't as clean and most of it is tile. Thank you

The hotel is beautiful. It is set in fabulous manicured grounds and has breathtaking views. The rooms were palatial with giant a 2-person tub, enormous beds and a grand balcony. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was Michelin starred. But, ultimately, those views across Vancouver Island to the Gulf Islands, Washington State and Mount Baker, then down to Victoria, were unbelievable. We never wanted to leave and really want to return as quickly as we can.

Location - was close to Victoria but the grounds are like being in a forest. Woke up to bird song in the mornings. Wonderful, natural surroundings. The hosts were very friendly, they were quick to fix a small problem. Very nice stay, will recommend Malahat Bungalows Motel to friends & family and will definitely come again when we come dto Vancouver Island.

The view and room is amazing. This could be a premium hotel but it falls short in a few aspects that I’d expect for the price. It really has potential to be better so I hope they read reviews. Pros: - incredible view from all angles - tub with a view - 2 bathrooms in room - spacious - easy check-in - games, books, newspaper, snacks

There was no breakfast, meals were not provided. Location excellent with superb views of Finlayson Arm. Close to other tourist attractions: Shawnigan and Cowichan Lakes, Malahat Skywalk, Kinsol Trestle.

Very cute and more spacious than hotel. Good distance just outside Victoria. Had wifi problems though. Other than that no problems. Will definitely stay there again!
