While checking in we were welcomed by Matthew. He was very personable and professional. He was very helpful and explained what was and wasn't open and approximate hours. This was appreciated as we were told beforehand that almost everything is closed this time of year. The room itself surpassed all expectations. The fireplace was a surprise. Well maintained and very clean. The location is beautiful as well. Loved our time there. Did not want to leave today.

My mother and I stayed here for a few days and loved it. The room was clean and comfortable and the breezy balcony was a bonus. Very walkable to everywhere in town. The general layout/many of the rooms would be tricky for people with limited mobility.

This place is clean and comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The lake was sooo clean, great for swimming with family. Very close to Waterton park without the high cost. Our stay was excellent, we truly would recommend this to anyone who likes a quiet setting with considerate neighbors A basic knowledge of lake water management is beneficial, we are acreage owners and understand basic principles of septic and cisterns so had NO problems with these basic principles

Our host Josh, owns the place.

Our host Josh, owns the place. He is very personable and cooks a great breakfast. We met his mother, and she is delightful. Josh owns a nursery and has landscaped the yard around the bed and breakfast with many beautiful flowers. We were very comfortable the one night we spent there. The bathroom was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and well worth the additional $15 per person. Rooms are on the second floor, so you must go up and down a steep staircase. This didn't bother us, but might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Other than that one minor drawback, everything else was great.

The reasonable price compared to that of accommodation in Waterton. We ate our breakfast at the Inn. They were very delicious and individually prepared. Friendly staff. A unique environment. I have never stayed anywhere where there were so many different businesses in operation - the Inn, gas station, General Store, restaurant and a wide variety of items to buy. The grounds could have been cleaned up and the footing at the entrance was pretty uneven.

The cabin was beautiful, well decorated.

The cabin was beautiful, well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and it was well set up. On the negative. There was one face cloth for four people, two towels for the hot tub for four people, two bath towels for four people, the dish soap was so diluted That it would not create suds and when we got more, they gave us a scant half a cup in the bottom of a used dish soap container. Anything above eye height is not dusted or cleaned. The glasses were covered with grease and dust and the bath shower curtain was filthy about 8 inches up. I found it a real pity that’s such a beautiful place and such a beautiful location is Penny pinching so bad. That it affects their reviews. If they’re not doing the cleaning, they need to talk to the cleaning lady.

The scenery was spectacular!

The scenery was spectacular! Waterton International Park was scenic with varied wildlife. The boat ride was wonderful. There are adequate places to eat. The roads are good and the people went out of their way to be helpful.

Have a really, really good GPS system, or you might get lost...

Have a really, really good GPS system, or you might get lost. Just when I thought I'd arrived I turned another corner and drove another twenty to forty miles. There is really nothing there but the gas station/store/cafe/and Inn. I do not recommend eating here go another 15 minutes up the road to Cardston. There's a fabulous carriage museum in Cardston. But Mountain View is rather pretty.

We had a good stay at Bear Country Inn and Suites. The room was well appointed with comfortable beds, a small table and refrigerator. The breakfast was great, and it's convenient to have the country store right there. We were visiting Waterton Park where the hotels were extremely expensive -- this was a great alternative just a 15 minute drive away from which to access the park and townsite for the day's activities. The owners are friendly and work really hard to manage the motel, store and restaurant.

Great proximity to Waterton! Cozy, family-friendly hotel, with lots of space for kids. Room was clean with lots of amenities. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and they also included free ice cream coupons, which was a nice touch.
