United StatesBear Country Inn is close to Waterton Lakes. Stephanie, Jeff, Melissa and the rest of the staff were extremely accommodating. Breakfast was cooked to order with GF options available. And the bonus ice cream on check in was wonderful! It felt more like a B&B, rather than a motel.

The cabin was beautiful, well decorated.
The cabin was beautiful, well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and it was well set up. On the negative. There was one face cloth for four people, two towels for the hot tub for four people, two bath towels for four people, the dish soap was so diluted That it would not create suds and when we got more, they gave us a scant half a cup in the bottom of a used dish soap container. Anything above eye height is not dusted or cleaned. The glasses were covered with grease and dust and the bath shower curtain was filthy about 8 inches up. I found it a real pity that’s such a beautiful place and such a beautiful location is Penny pinching so bad. That it affects their reviews. If they’re not doing the cleaning, they need to talk to the cleaning lady.

The scenery was spectacular!
The scenery was spectacular! Waterton International Park was scenic with varied wildlife. The boat ride was wonderful. There are adequate places to eat. The roads are good and the people went out of their way to be helpful.

Have a really, really good GPS system, or you might get lost...
Have a really, really good GPS system, or you might get lost. Just when I thought I'd arrived I turned another corner and drove another twenty to forty miles. There is really nothing there but the gas station/store/cafe/and Inn. I do not recommend eating here go another 15 minutes up the road to Cardston. There's a fabulous carriage museum in Cardston. But Mountain View is rather pretty.

Breakfast was AMAZING!
Breakfast was AMAZING! I even woke up early for it :D Check out the 2 photos as a proof! The rooms were super cozy, and the overall vibe of the hotel was really nice. There were plenty of facilities, sitting areas, indoor games, and so on. The owners were really nice, and they also own a small grocery store nearby (10 mins walk). Some of the drawbacks were, that the bathroom was shared for some rooms, so be carefull in terms of the booking, and the location is a bit far from Waterton Park (30 mins drive). However, the overall experience was so good, that my friends and I were able to overlook these small issues.
In short, a highly recommended place!

This was an amazing place to stay, I felt at home and well...
This was an amazing place to stay, I felt at home and well cared for right away - there was even a bar of expensive homemade soap waiting for me in my room with the other toiletries. This well-cared for property has an incredible view of the mountains, as well as exceptional landscaping and welcoming decor. Guests had access to a hot tub (seasonal), fire pit, pool table, board games, TV, kitchen and beautiful property during the stay. There were many delicious choices for breakfast which was made fresh. I will definitely stay here again.

Great accommodations.
Great accommodations. Very updated and clean.. very friendly staff. My wife was rolling her suitcase from the car and Andy picked it up and carried it to the room. He was a absolute great guy. Took our picture in front of the cabin. Stood and talked to us a while.. the cabin was was excellent. If we get back there we will no doubt stay here..

We had a good stay at Bear Country Inn and Suites. The room was well appointed with comfortable beds, a small table and refrigerator. The breakfast was great, and it's convenient to have the country store right there. We were visiting Waterton Park where the hotels were extremely expensive -- this was a great alternative just a 15 minute drive away from which to access the park and townsite for the day's activities. The owners are friendly and work really hard to manage the motel, store and restaurant.

Great proximity to Waterton! Cozy, family-friendly hotel, with lots of space for kids. Room was clean with lots of amenities. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and they also included free ice cream coupons, which was a nice touch.

The room was spacious with great facilities. The Inn is located at a gas station in Mountain View which was a short 20min drive to Waterton. The staff were friendly and the ice cream is amazing!
