I’m originally from that area and still have family there. It’s been 35 years since I left but it still feels like home! There was a party Friday night right across the road from the Tara motel at the Century Snooker club held in honor of my nephew’s birthday. I could walk to it which was perfect! Lots of family came for the event so some of us stayed at the Tara for that night. It was wonderful! The rest of my 4 day stay I was able to stay at my parents home. I love visiting with my family!

Good parking outside the room. Staff friendly. Straightforward sign-in. Good size room for two people to move around comfortably. Clean white towels and bed linen. Toiletries supplied in bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Neighbour smoked outside the room. Thorough cleaning in corners of room and under furniture required. Room showing signs of wear and tear. No storage shelf for toiletries in the bathroom.

Good stop over on the way to/from the Cabot Trail from...
Good stop over on the way to/from the Cabot Trail from Hailfax. Good shopping for essentials and lots of fast food restaurants within proximity. Mondays can be a challenge as most restaurants are closed. Easy to navigate the town. Within great distance to other locations like Pictou. Nice town!

After a long drive it was a nice stop. We were happy to see a Swiss Chalet near by. They have all the stores you would need to stop at in the middle of a long driving trip. Very nice and friendly people there!

I was not impressed at all .
I was not impressed at all ...there was nothing to d in the Town ..only one restaurant open and it was terrible food ...we paid 40 dollars for food that we left on our plates and went to MacDonalds for a burger...never again will we go to New Glasgow

From $104 per nightEverything. The hosts were helpful in every way, the bedroom and bathroom quite big, very clean... The beach isn't far, same as New Glasgow where there are plenty of restaurants. Breakfast made according to what you like and there are plenty of choices. :)
