We had plans to visit museums, go to Petroglyphs, visit the...
We had plans to visit museums, go to Petroglyphs, visit the Canoe Museum and tour the Trent University. In our three day stay we managed to do three of these things. It rained hard on Saturday, thought we were going to have to stay indoors, until I found online Liftlock Cruises, rain or shine, so we booked that tour. The Canoe Museum was fascinating and we didn't get to see all of it as we were there late in the day it closes at 5pm. The Petroglyphs were spiritual and sacred. As a First Nation family we were allowed to do our tobacco ceremony right there on the petroglyph rock, we loved that, my girls said they could feel the ancient spirits in that place. Next time I will be more prepared to honour the sacredness of this place.

The lock lift bridge was interesting, the zoo was fun but I think they should charge a 2$ admission instead of being free, to help care for the animals and grounds but I don't no that situation of why it is free

Ceramic toilet seat was worn out, toilet chain for flushing kept falling off, my spouse had to fix it several times, no handicap rail beside toilet, 2 big dogs barking throughout my stay. People upstairs were loud.
Otherwise the people we met were very friendly. My handicap room was 4-5 doors down the hallway

Have always liked Peterborough, going back to the 60's when...
Have always liked Peterborough, going back to the 60's when I was in the music business. Would be there once a week. Some really good spots to eat but a lot of the downtown core is desolate, especially Peterborough Square.

The Canadian Canoe Museum is fantastic and I highly recommend those visiting Peterborough, to visit this museum.
It was a memorable experience, competing in The Head of the Trent rowing regatta. The scenery along the river is beautiful.

Peterborough is a nice place to visit with museums, plays, parks, waterways, boats, history venues, good restaurants, shopping, etc. I enjoyed my stay there and visited many little towns and their craft stores.

Robyn's Motel is in a very convenient location in Peterborough (on Highway 7). The room was spotless and the motel appears to be well maintained. Bed was super comfortable. This motel is excellent value. If you are going to be arriving late, I recommend contacting the motel ahead of time as the office closes at 9:30 p.m.

Lovely kitchen staff.
My side of the hotel was old #3 door. Carpet needs to be replaced or a good cleaning.
