The attention to detail was amazing...our hostess was delightful...the food was 5 star !!! The decor was so lovely, a true tribute to her Scottish heritage. This was my partner's first experience staying at a B&B The Tartan House has set the bar very high! Thank you Marion ... We will come again :)

Located off Highway 401 in Ajax, Ontario, this hotel offers convenient facilities and services for a restful stay just minutes from a variety of restaurants, shopping and fine golf courses. Bed was comfy, Keurig is great, big bathroom. Overall the hotel is very nice, lots of amenities, clean and stylish.
Pickering was nice but was under construction when we came. They have a few restaurants near the hotel . We went to lone star for dinner is was alright but wouldn't recommend going there. To get to a lot of places you had to drive or can which became expensive .
Loved the proximity to Toronto. That and the great price, were the reasons for the selection. There is a great shopping mall in Pickering that I have visted in the past, but had no time on this visit
We appreciated the selection of restaurants up and down Kingston Road and the easy access to the 401. We enjoyed Moxie's Grill (more upscale and less noisy than East Side Mario's which we were warned about by other patrons) and the Lone Star. The Comfort Inn's road map that included the Zoo location was handy and made getting around fairly easy.
We stayed in Pickering because we are familiar with the city. Our plans were to go downtown Toronto for the day and Pickering was our best option, as we took the Go Train which was easy to drive to from the hotel. Worked out very well for us, will do it again next time we want to visit Toronto. Pickering Town center is also a very nice place to shop
liked the location best and ameneties very good, pull out bed good for our 5 yr old granddaughter. Loved the zoo but too big to see in one day. Ate at Crabby Joe's-great food and server was very attentive. Also ate at a pizza pizza and ice cream place in a mall near the hotel-yummy We soon found lots of places to eat in close proximity to the Inn. We only went to the zoo so did not look for other activities for children.
We were there for a wedding so it was just a place to stay. The people were friendly and very helpful did not have any problems getting around. Had supper at several local restraints' food good service good Nothing bad to say
