Jacob's Stone is set in Miller Lake. Free WiFi is available. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental breakfast. Jacob's Stone offers a terrace. The hospitality of the owners was above and beyond — they created a warm, inviting space to relax and recharge while still allowing us to maintain privacy. A tricky balance to navigate but they did it with grace and ease! I really appreciated the personal touches they added to the experience (eg, rooms and breakfast options named from countries if their heritage). And close to main attractions like the town of Tobermory and Bruce’s Peninsula National Park. I wish I could give a higher rating. Will most definitely be booking with them again soon!
Cape Chin Bed and Breakfast features air-conditioned accommodation in Cape Chin. This bed and breakfast offers barbecue facilities with the cabins. Teresa and Craig are wonderful, and the accommodation is perfect. I always have everything I need for a comfortable stay, and enjoy the little extras, like watching the cows and chickens, and having a bonfire at night. It is my favourite place to stay.
Tamarac Island Cottage is situated in Stokes Bay and offers a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. This cottage was just amazing! We loved. It is furnitsched in a very cute way. In it lays directly on the water. We had bbq and made a fire on the fireplace. We could use the canoes and had a jump into the water! Melony and her staff were very nice. We love to come back. Thanks for everyhing. Greetings from Felix, Frank, and Anett
I went to Tobermory to hike the Bruce Trail. There are other activities in Tobermory (cruisining, and excursions in glass bottomed boats, etc) but I was not interested in these. There are very few restaurants in Tobermory, and food generally is mediocre, and the price was high for what you get. I was there at the end of the season, and during the Covid pandemic, so maybe this had a bearing. Visitors go to the town to participate in outdoor activities, or to take the ferry to Manitoulin Island; there is very little of interest in the town itself.
We enjoyed looking at the lake and the harbour, we visited Flower Pot Island on a boat cruise and thoroughly enjoy that and the hike there. We also enjoyed the National Park to see The Grotto which was amazing. We walked all the around the downtown and saw the Chi Chi Man every day. It was a memorable trip for us. Very friendly people and very helpful.
Tobermory was small and beautiful. There was beautiful scenery where ever you looked. The people that worked there were very kind and pleasant. I took many pictures. The two restaurants that I went too were wonderful and the prices were reasonable. I did not think that you should have to pay to park your car you were there to see the sites and spend money in the stores and restaurants. There were few activities for single travellers. I went over to the Manitoulin Island and also took the Glass Bottom Boat for a tour. I had never been there before so I wanted to see it all. The drives through the country side were great.
It was a quaint town. Very friendly people. All amenities are close. We tried as many different restaurants as possible while we were there. All the meals were delicious, good portions & value for the money. The best way to get around Tobermory is by walking. There are not a lot of parking spaces, 3 hour max & you must pay. Everything was close, so we left the car at the hotel & walked everywhere we needed to go. The only issues turned out to be Mother Nature. While the weather was mostly sunny, high winds did not allow for the boat cruises to do their tours, so we were not able to go to Flower Pot Island or cruising around the Bay. .
I loved it ! The drive was long from timmins but so worth it ! Was not impressed with our room , the price was way too high for the look of it ! But the trip exceeded my expectations! I could swim in the water all day long if I could !! I love the brewery , their French fries deep fried in duck fat was the best French fries I ever ate !! A lot of places for driving I wish I could have went to but did most of what u can do ! Did not get to see the grotto and will totally be going back to check it out !
Our trip on the cruise was absolutely wonderful, the food was great. I could not do better. I plan to go back again next summer, perhaps for a week. The sunset was beyound decription. Only God and his angels could cause such beauty and colors. Thank you.
Room was clean and comfortable. Close enough to walk to town or the park visitors center. Beautiful view of the sunset in a comfortable lounge.
