A very proper location with easy facilities

The hotel is located in a picturesque area perfect for walking and hiking but just a short drive from supermarkets etc. The rooms are comfortable and we were greeted by friendly staff. The restaurant is exceptional, we often stay here when visiting the area and always make sure we have a dinner at the hotel, it is best to book as the restaurant is very popular.

Breakfast was the best thing of the day, the place was really nice

Fantastic: breakfast, room facilities, staff, free big parking - for a 3 star This is actually a great apart-hotel, were the rooms are actual studios with fully equipped kitchen.

I loved it! It's sooo nice to stay in a hotel and talk to the owner who actually cares. Perfect locating right in front of the bus stop taking you to Basel in just over 10 minutes. Ac in my room and a breakfast with high quality ingredients made all together my stay a super positive experience.

I really felt at home as soon as I met the owners, who welcomed me and gifted me a 'welcome dinner.' The hotel reception is in the Chinese restaurant as you come in, and it is a beautiful setting with amazing food! I came to this location because it is close to St. Jakob event center in Basel, Switzerland. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk, and the train station is a 10-minute walk. There are several service businesses: salons, restaurants, and grocery stores. Even though my workshop absorbed my entire day, the owners were so kind to offer me a late-night snack from the restaurant with sparkling water for my room. I slept soundly in the most comfortable bed ever! The affordability, cleanliness, location, and the wonderful owners & staff made my stay a restful experience.

Frankly speaking the upgrade to a bigger room. The room itself and all the facilities of the hotel were amazing. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and what I’m expecting.

The breakfast was wonderful. Location was unexpectedly beautiful, with nature walks in both directions along the Rhine River. Our room was lovely, and all staff were very kind and attentive. The outdoor part of the restaurant had great views all around. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Pleasant hotel at the Rhine river in small town close to Basel : friendly staff, quiet room

All great except for that I struggled to find the hotel room in the beginning. It would be desirable to provide a signpost somewhere or better explanation in the email.

The location, the interior design, the friendly and very helpful and warm staff, and the food.

Excellent location to visit the Roman ruins and to take the train to Basel for the day, perfect for free parking, quiet place, friendly staff, perfect setting with storks' nests around.

Spacious room, amenities, great balcony, free parking within the premises, A/C. Amazing breakfast, lovely and professional staff, specifically Phillipe at the Kitchen, Mira and Deborah. Really great vibe at the place, very clean and nicely designed.

Great location for a relaxing break

Location is great, bus + tram to get to city, approx 30mins. Nature is nice, very quiet place over Basel. Good WIFI signal, children playground.

Perfectly located for a music festival we were attending.

We cannot praise this hotel enough. The receptionist was extremely friendly, she waited for us to arrive until nearly 2 am and just as other reviews say, nothing is too much trouble for her or any of the staff! We were provided with a cot bed and allowed late checkout which were much needed and made our stay very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and just made is feel very welcome!

Wonderful service, great food, lovely decorated rooms and bathrooms -- and extremely accomodating management. I had made a booking mistake, booked one night too early. Hotel manager greenlighted applying the payment to our actual stay instead of charging us more. We're very pleased and will be glad to return to this place.
