Für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise war das Hotel für uns perfekt. Besonders praktisch war, dass wir unser Auto laden konnten und dadurch am nächsten Morgen gleich früh weiterfahren konnten. Eine sehr nette Überraschung war auch, dass wir am Abend im Hof noch ein kaltes Getränk vorgefunden haben. Und besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück – wirklich ganz großartig!

A day trip from farther away was not practical, so staying in this area was necessary. Location & accessibility The Vitra Design Museum is only a few minutes’ drive from the hotel, which was very convenient. The Fondation Beyeler is about a 15-minute walk after breakfast — an easy and pleasant walk. Parking & EV charging There are two electric vehicle charging stations right next to the hotel entrance. It was especially convenient to charge the car overnight without any issues. Experience visiting Fondation Beyeler Arrived at the museum around 10:00 on Sunday morning — parking spaces next to the museum still appeared available. When leaving around 12:00, the parking garage was already full. The Fondation Beyeler was excellent, and the two-hour visit passed very quickly. Walking there after breakfast was refreshing and helped digestion. Highway toll note To save on Swiss motorway tolls, we considered walking. However, the route from the hotel does not require using the motorway, so there is no need to purchase a Swiss motorway vignette. In the end, we chose to walk, which was very enjoyable. Summary: A well-located hotel for visiting both the Vitra campus and Fondation Beyeler, with excellent EV charging convenience and easy access on foot to the museum in Switzerland.

Room was clean and quiet, bed very comfortable, I didnt take breakfast as I normally dont eat a big breakfast. It was renovated and very good condition. Nice and friendly staff

The most fantastic breakfast. It had so much choice and all good quality. Staff were very friendly professional and helpful. As a loan female traveller I felt very safe both in the hotel and walking a small dog in the location in the dark.

Staff is very friendly , the location is perfect. Close to the tram and Beyeler Foundation. Room was well isolated , clean and modern. Bed was amazing The breakfast was generous and delicious

Location was perfect. A quick tram ride to the Christmas markets and back right at the door. Staff advised perfectly the transport and the local boulangeries which we love. The reception area has a good seating area to enjoy a wine or coffee at any time.

Perfect location, very friendly staff, clean facilities and lots hike/bikes routes directly behind the hotel.

Super hotel! Great room decor - purple ceiling, light green walls, wood floor, black cupboards and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Friendly efficient staff. Breakfast with yummy French toast made with sour cream and fresh berries. No real restaurant but they can serve a selection of light snacks including delicious flammkuchen. Amazingly quiet despite the busy location. A bit out of the way with no recommended restaurants nearby but with a tram stop right outside and well worth the slight inconvenience - and they compensate by giving a free tram and bus pass for the duration of your stay. Highly recommended!!! AND they have bicycles you can use for free and free coffee, tea and cakes (almost) all day!!

Perfect for a short stay. Easy to check-in, close to public transport and anything tou might need like stores or restaurants. We got the BaselCard as well which made the public transport free and gave us discounts at moat of the things we wanted to see around town.

Location is perfect, very easy to get there from the airport and then all the sights can be easily reached on foot or by tram. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice of things. The room was super clean with a nice bathroom. The bed was comfy and the whole room was quiet so nights were relaxing. Even the late (after midnight) check-in could be solved.

The breakfast was very good, well stocked, all tastes and diet needs catered for. Caring staff. Bed was a little firm, and pillows soft. Very glad we stayed there and would stay there again. It is a little further from the old town but a tram is at the door and the hotel gave us a free tram pass.
