Five blessings hotel is indeed a blessing. We stayed there for 3 nights and all the staff went above and beyond to help us. They picked us up at the train station and helped arrange the day trips to visit the highlights in Datong's surroundings. The owner, Jimu, is super nice and provided many good tips to make the most of our trip.The room was superb, with all the modern comforts but with enchanting traditional vibes. The breakfast was delicious and they did their best to accommodate my husband, who is vegan.What I also liked is that the hotel is perfectly located and all the main points of the ancient city are within walking distance. At the same time, it is secluded enough so that you can enjoy the quietness and relax. We even slept with the window open and it was such a delight. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Datong and I would certainly love to come back and meet our friends at the Five Blessings Hotel again.

The place is magical and we got exactly what was advertised. It was very quiet although it is in the middle of town. The stuff was very friendly. Breakfast was exceptional and you definitely get enough to last you through the day.
