We loved how peaceful and secluded this place is. Mario treated us really well and showed us a lot of different animals and gave us great local tips. The food was also excellent and home made. Rooms are spacious and clean! You have several paths leading from the property to the forest.

Cabana Colibrí-Parking is one of the exceptional accommodations we had in Costa Rica. The accommodation does not provide breakfast but fully makes up for it with a fully and modernly equipped kitchen. All necessary groceries can easily be purchased at a supermarket about 300m away. The proximity of the town Sarchí Norte, which boasts a historic factory for making ox carts, is a big attraction along with very good accessibility to Poás Volcano and the closeness of Castro Blanco and Braulio Carrillo National Parks. From the terrace of the house, it is possible to observe hummingbirds, iguanas, and a variety of birds. The cabin is very pleasant and can accommodate four visitors, each room always having its own private bathroom with a toilet. The owner is a very nice man who also bakes absolutely amazing Mexican bread. There is nothing we could criticize.

If you like bird watching, this is a pretty good place for that. We also like that the place is quiet and that it has a pool to dip in. Alonso was a great host, very accommodating. Very clean place. We would definitely stay there again.
