The whole of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The rooms were a very good size. The staff were excellent (and spoke English). The breakfast buffety was comprehensive and of good quality: meats, cheese, bolied eggs, cakes, fruit, various breads, cereals, choice of coffee/tea/juice; plus hot options of nurnberger sausage, scrambled eggs, beans, bacon. Hotel was a few minutes walk to the Sauerlach MVV train staition making trips into Munich trivial. The hotel did food and had a small bar, and was also attached to the Sauerlach Postwirt stuberl which was very good. (great choice of traditional German food and beer).

Loved everything about the hotel.

Loved everything about the hotel. The S Bahn ride into Munich was very easy. We ate in both restaurants and the food was excellent. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again.

An absolute gem.

An absolute gem. The staff do backflips to make your stay a memorable one. A beautiful property in the quite Bavarian countryside. Absolutely wonderful beerhall across the street. And of course Ayinger beer!

The hotel is really lovely and traditionally decorated. It has that welcoming effect straight from the entrance that makes you feel really good! There is also a little shop for home made souvenirs and you find their own beer in the room! We couldn’t try the restaurant sadly, but breakfast was amazing and the staff really lovely!

This is an interesting hotel connected to its own brewery. It provides good insight into a slice of German culture. The beer garden is busy and fun, the building is old and nicely furnished, the staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are classy and good value.

Fantastic location. Beautiful area to walk through landscape. Quite and green. Very friendly hotel personal, amazing breakfast and the rooms are spacious with a lot of authentic details and history of the family who built the hotel 140+ years ago.
