The hotel is big and spacious with lots of families. The rooms were also spacious and the bathroom very nice.

Situated on the southern slopes of the Simmersberg mountain, amid Thuringian woods and meadows, this hotel in Masserberg-Schnett features numerous spa and leisure facilities.

The room was nice and all in all the atmosphere in the hotel was pleasant yet quirky. It had the feeling of staying at the Overlook Hotel from Stephen King's book The Shining. The staff was a bit overwhelmed by work and not necessarily up to their tasks and the hotel manager had to micromanage the tiniest things like fixing the Cappuccino machine. We only stayed a night so I can't comment much on the facilities. The breakfast was rather adequate and the staff members all were really nice.

This hotel is located on the southern hills of the Thuringian Forest, directly on the popular Rennsteig hiking and cycling trail, in the historic health resort of Masserberg.
