Luxurious room overlooking the castle, and a restaurant/ inn feel at the front, where with the other guests we could drink and eat, and enjoy the quiet evenings after all the castle visitors have headed off. Very extensive breakfast buffet in the morning to fuel you for the days adventure. The hotel is also part of the scheme where you get a pass for local buses, trains and ferries. It’s brilliant- absolutely the best way to explore the region and cut down on traffic. Evening BBQ on second night may have been a one-off - it was certainly a great way to end another days walking!

This is an attractive hotel in a good location with views over the river and a salt grotto. Manfred has owned the hotel for 35 years and has kept it up to a very high standard. He also operates a 24 hour reception which suited me well. Sadly I had to leave before breakfast.

Very spacious and clean room, the check in was easy and fast, people working there very friendly and helpful as they guided us on the region and gave good advises. Food is top, don’t miss the dinners

We spent a comfortable night here while walking through the Malerweg trail. The staff was very nice and we could recharge our energy with the wonderful breakfast in the morning.

Especially the host Thomas was very friendly and took care of us in the most wonderful way.

Breakfast had a nice selection with coffee and cream already at the table reserved for your room Hotel is close to the train station within a 3 minute walk. They give you a ticket for the ferry to explore the other side of the river where the Bastei is located The hotel features an excellent restaurant with delicious food. Staff were friendly and helpful

the staff were AMAZING. so accommodating. We initially booked a non-AC room because we didn’t know the hotel had AC available. We were sweltering. So we asked for any fan or anything and they actually upgraded us at minimal cost and we moved to an AC room. The staff stayed after their shift to assist us with this. Really above and beyond. They were friendly too

Location is the star attraction! Great base for walking in the area. We were kindly given a room looking over the valley and beautiful scenery, thank you! Minibar with great selection of complimentary drinks, wonderful. And the breakfast was extensive and very good. Loved staying here.

We rented double room with separate children’s room. It was quite big and comfortable. There is underground parking, also outdoor on the territory. The breakfast was great

December, the hotel is cosy, warm. The sauna is nice and well equipped. The beautiful landscape. This is the spa.

Very good hotel. The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and it varied throughout different days. The room was pretty big and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Location is also good, pretty much everything in walking distance. The railway station is 25 minutes away, but you can use bus/ship to get there if you want to.
