I was in town to run my first marathon and I absolutely loved my stay at the Indigo Dresden. The staff was extremely welcoming and competent. When it comes to the room - beds were comfy and everything was spotless clean. The cherry on the cake? A kettle in the bedroom and a complimentary water bottle in the fridge.

The park is located in a beautiful area with many options for nature lovers, but also many kids friendly attractions even in winter. The house was very comfortable overall and extremely clean. We were several families with adjacent homes and it was very comfortable. The pool (included in price) is a few minutes away by foot. It is also well maintained and we loved the Solebad and the water temperature. there is a kids club, you can also take books and games. On Silvester there was a very nice program for families with a puppet show, music, camp fire and a few food stands for everyone with no additional cost. The staff was attentive, and came to fix the light in the bathroom very quickly. Overall it seems wonderful for summer with the lake and climbing forest which we were not able to use due to weather.

Location is very good, everything is near but also quiet. Hotel have a bar with beautiful terrace so it’s nice to relax here. Room has air conditioning, bed is quite comfortable. Bathroom has everything you’re needing at the time you staying. Breakfast was great and have a lot of options. The staff at hotel is amazing, very friendly, nice and caring. Very beautiful atmosphere in hotel. Really recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place with amazing staff, making the stay as peaceful and problem-free as possible. The lake is very clean, the private hotel beaches with white sand make it feel luxurious. The hotel offers SUPs and bikes (for additional fees), which allows you to stay active during the holiday.

Big building with history near the river. The centre is not far a way although the location is quiet. The breakfast buffet was very rich and in nice weather on outdoor terrace. Also the dinner was very good. Comfortable room with all the necessary things for our baby. Seeds are growing up :)

Leipzig is a wonderful city for music lovers.

Leipzig is a wonderful city for music lovers. I was there for the Bach Festival which was excellent. It is a small enough city that you could walk to the concert venues and restaurants like Auerbachs Keller which has had as guests the likes of Goethe and Angela Merkel. As a female solo traveler returning to my hotel at night after a concert feels safe. For these reasons I have visited Leipzig several times.

A town full of history and people who love their City. Very international and almost every place visited provided explanations (both written and videos) in English; which was appreciated. The location of the Semper Opera House, The Zwinger old palace, the Residential Palace and the LadiesChurch were well within easy walking distance of one another. The Museums were very well thought out and informative. Sadly the Elbe river was very low and thus not possible to take a boat trip. The transporation (buses and trams) was easy to follow and one could buy tickets at bus stops, stations, on-line and at ticket offices. We will certainly return and spend more time in the Zwinger, the Albertinum Art Museum. and reserve seats at the Opera beforehand. Some entries were free and others very affordable. We stopped counting at 60 restaurants from typical German to authentic Spanish tapers and Breweries. Sidewalk cafes, ice-cream parlours galore and everyone was so friendly and willing to share their experiences. There were free musical events throughout the City too. Photos of the exhibitions in the Green Rooms in the Residential Schloss not alowed but a must see and well worth 12 Euro. We will return!!

I dreamt of visiting Bad Schandau since I first saw it from the train. From the train, it looks like a fairytale. Unfortunately, the water on the river Elbe is extremely low so no boats are running - which we didn't know. We stayed in the neighboring town of Schmilke which is basically just a hollowed out shell of a place, run by a rich guy who has bought up all the hotels and calls it "sustainable." Sadly, the town is best loved from afar.

Gorlitz is a small city with a countryside atmosphere & there's also a lot of history to the city & area around it. Shopkeepers were very friendly & open; my favorite place to eat is called 'The Gorlitzer'--fantastic food & service! There is a bus line & trams to get around the city although walking can be the best mode of traveling.

A post-industrial city with many nice spots mixed with some that are not too attractive. I would say it's the best what former DDR (East Germany) had to offer: very open, modernist city centre with a lot of green areas and good public transport with the worst: boring and ugly Plattenbau. Many refurbished XIX-century industrial buildings and interesting museums are a huge plus too (honorary first place goes to Museum Gunzenhauser). Overall I liked it and maybe will return to the area some day.

Meissen is about 45 minutes from Dresden, but not only beautiful, but quiet, less congested, and has many nice features to enjoy. We liked it so much we stayed an extra day (total 7 days), and then used it as a base from which we explored the rest of the wonderful, less-known Saxony. Dresden is magnificent, but we were also close to the "Saxon Switzerland" hiking area, Görlitz, Bautzen, and the many palaces, "hunting lodges", and wineries of the area. Meissen itself has a nice cathedral and the Meissen porcelain works, as well as historic squares, and some nice restaurants (check out the Burg Hotel).

We didn't spend much time in Pirna itself. We used the apartment as a very comfortable base freom which to explore the region. There seemed to be plenty of facilities for shopping and eating out near our apartment.

Beautiful historical town, very little spoiled by the former regime. Lovely walks through the colourful streets. Next time will reserve more time for museums, especially the Sorbian Museum. Everything is within a walking distance. Excellent Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik, make sure to book in advance, otherwise there is very little chance of getting any place. Be aware that LGBTQ+ people and other minorities might not necessarily feel comfortable, you notice a strong presence of far-right appearing young males (definitely was true during Christmas market).

The family suite was the most spacious and comfortable one we have ever been in. The only downside is that there wasn’t a joint bed in the “parents” room but overall a pleasant stay with kids.

It's an excellent hiking place, recommended for families...

It's an excellent hiking place, recommended for families with children, dogs - especially during the weekdays when you can enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. The Elba is beautiful, there are nice walking/ cycling routes all around, the top of the hill is half an hour walk, sunsets/sunrises are stunning.
