I was in town to run my first marathon and I absolutely loved my stay at the Indigo Dresden. The staff was extremely welcoming and competent. When it comes to the room - beds were comfy and everything was spotless clean. The cherry on the cake? A kettle in the bedroom and a complimentary water bottle in the fridge.

The park is located in a beautiful area with many options for nature lovers, but also many kids friendly attractions even in winter. The house was very comfortable overall and extremely clean. We were several families with adjacent homes and it was very comfortable. The pool (included in price) is a few minutes away by foot. It is also well maintained and we loved the Solebad and the water temperature. there is a kids club, you can also take books and games. On Silvester there was a very nice program for families with a puppet show, music, camp fire and a few food stands for everyone with no additional cost. The staff was attentive, and came to fix the light in the bathroom very quickly. Overall it seems wonderful for summer with the lake and climbing forest which we were not able to use due to weather.

Location is very good, everything is near but also quiet. Hotel have a bar with beautiful terrace so it’s nice to relax here. Room has air conditioning, bed is quite comfortable. Bathroom has everything you’re needing at the time you staying. Breakfast was great and have a lot of options. The staff at hotel is amazing, very friendly, nice and caring. Very beautiful atmosphere in hotel. Really recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place with amazing staff, making the stay as peaceful and problem-free as possible. The lake is very clean, the private hotel beaches with white sand make it feel luxurious. The hotel offers SUPs and bikes (for additional fees), which allows you to stay active during the holiday.

Big building with history near the river. The centre is not far a way although the location is quiet. The breakfast buffet was very rich and in nice weather on outdoor terrace. Also the dinner was very good. Comfortable room with all the necessary things for our baby. Seeds are growing up :)

A quick city, perfect for an in-between with Berlin and Prague. Just visit for a day or two and you'll see the whole city. Food was pretty good, though tough to find a table a lot of the time. Few people speak english. in fact, I ended up with greater luck speaking Spanish instead of english when ordering at restaurants. Pretty sights and art. I also liked the War Museum and the Art Museum.

It is worth to visit Leipzig, to explore history in the city center and near outskirts. It was city with lot of changes during centuries. City museum is excellent place to find out that, bit also churches in the town. Good to visit place where was the battle with Napoleon army, what we did by hop on hop off bus tour.

A nice vacation town on the Elbe/in Saxon Schweiz. We didn't see many other Americans there, it seems largely popular with German, Czech, Polish and Dutch tourists, but we didn't mind at all. Amazing hiking access both from in or near the town and the surrounding area. Some of the landscape actually reminded me of New Paltz/upstate NY, very different from what you might stereotypically picture Germany. I didn't find the food in the area to be fantastic, but it was fine. Many restaurants close during part of the day and/or close early. There are "automat" vending machines everywhere with nice local cheeses and sausages and snacks. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

A post-industrial city with many nice spots mixed with some that are not too attractive. I would say it's the best what former DDR (East Germany) had to offer: very open, modernist city centre with a lot of green areas and good public transport with the worst: boring and ugly Plattenbau. Many refurbished XIX-century industrial buildings and interesting museums are a huge plus too (honorary first place goes to Museum Gunzenhauser). Overall I liked it and maybe will return to the area some day.

Gorlitz is a small city with a countryside atmosphere & there's also a lot of history to the city & area around it. Shopkeepers were very friendly & open; my favorite place to eat is called 'The Gorlitzer'--fantastic food & service! There is a bus line & trams to get around the city although walking can be the best mode of traveling.

Meissen is about 45 minutes from Dresden, but not only...

Meissen is about 45 minutes from Dresden, but not only beautiful, but quiet, less congested, and has many nice features to enjoy. We liked it so much we stayed an extra day (total 7 days), and then used it as a base from which we explored the rest of the wonderful, less-known Saxony. Dresden is magnificent, but we were also close to the "Saxon Switzerland" hiking area, Görlitz, Bautzen, and the many palaces, "hunting lodges", and wineries of the area. Meissen itself has a nice cathedral and the Meissen porcelain works, as well as historic squares, and some nice restaurants (check out the Burg Hotel).

Beautiful historical town, very little spoiled by the former regime. Lovely walks through the colourful streets. Next time will reserve more time for museums, especially the Sorbian Museum. Everything is within a walking distance. Excellent Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik, make sure to book in advance, otherwise there is very little chance of getting any place. Be aware that LGBTQ+ people and other minorities might not necessarily feel comfortable, you notice a strong presence of far-right appearing young males (definitely was true during Christmas market).

Book this very cosy hotel set in an idyllic hilly backdrop, polite staff, lovely breakfast. Spa area has a pool and whirlpool jacuzzi that has several jet options, there is a small playground and sauna, steambath as well. The family suite was the most spacious and comfortable one we have ever been in. The only downside is that there wasn’t a joint bed in the “parents” room but overall a pleasant stay with kids.
