Delightful hotel on a quiet side street in Gorlitz. Very welcoming staff and lots of private car parking. The breakfast was superb - as good as so have ever had!

Good breakfast - mixture of hot & cold selection. Location, walking distance to all highlights. Spacious room with seating area, super clean. Good sized toilet. Friendly and helpful staffs. Tea & coffee making facilities provided. Highly recommended

I'm someone who usually feels uncomfortable in hotels because they never feel clean enough to me, but I was so pleasantly surprised with this one. The room and the bathroom were super clean and smelled really nice and the mattress had 3 layers of protective sheets on it and all of them were really clean which is absolute heaven to me. The hotel is quite small which makes it really cozy and personal. I felt safe in my room at night even as a solo female traveler. The staff is really nice and helpful and the overall vibe of the place is really chill and friendly. Overall an incredibly nice place to stay which is definitely worth the price. I didn't want to leave in the end! :)

Superb location and fantastic, helpful ladies in the reception. It was my 4th time there. Best location. Just few kilometres after German border into Poland. Really nice, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Restaurant is open until late, and food is really good and well priced. Will definitely be back next time I'm travelling that way again.

The warm and personal touch by the owner was amazing. I felt welcomed and immediately at home. The breakfast was great, everything organic and wherever possible sourced locally. Görlitz is a beautiful Gothic city which miraculously hadn't been destroyed in WWII. Buildings 800 years old are meticulously renovated and restored. In summary: Görlitz is a must if you want to see gorgeous, preserved original cities in Germany. And I can't imagine a better place to stay than the beautiful Frenzelhof right downtown.

We had a wonderful stay at the Emmerich Hotel. Situated in the historic Alstadt it is perfectly located for visitors who want to explore the old town. The renovation of the building and conversion into a hotel has been sympathetically and tastefully done. The fixtures and fittings of the rooms are of a high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had an exceptionally good meal in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was terrific too.
