We had the great pleasure of visiting Engel 16 in Gutach, and from the very first moment we felt truly welcome. Astrid and Victor greeted us warmly with champagne and gave us an excellent introduction to the Black Forest area, especially the many beautiful hiking routes. They were always smiling, attentive, and genuinely kind. Victor, always smiling and polite, prepared the meals himself with the finest ingredients — and every dish was simply outstanding. Each morning, the breakfast buffet was perfectly prepared and ready for us, a wonderful way to start the day. Astrid made sure we enjoyed the perfect drinks and hospitality throughout our stay, which made us feel truly at home. All in all, Engel 16 is a beautiful and peaceful place with fantastic food and outstanding service. Thank you so much, Astrid and Victor, for this unforgettable stay! We stayed at Hotel Speicher for one night (29–30 December) in Biberach bei Offenburg and had a wonderful experience. The view is beautiful, the hotel is very clean, and the service is excellent. The breakfast was delicious and generous. The room was spacious, well-designed, and very practical for a family of four, which made our stay very comfortable. Above all, the staff were absolutely adorable – kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. A perfect place for a family stay. We would gladly come back!

Stayed here before and will do again. All the staff are very good, rooms are large and mine included a balcony. Lots of options for breakfast. The bar is nicely located and has outdoor seating. Dinner was good.

The forest room was an absolut delight: clean, spacious, bright, lovely decoration, great bathroom, colours... The staff was helful and assisting at any time needed. The little town of Wolfach is totally worth a visit and from the accomodation there are a few hiking routes. Despire being close to the railways, it was totally quiet at night. I cannot wait to get back for a longer time. Oh, and the parking is right opposite to the hotel!

The hotel is located in a tranquil rural setting. Our room had a good sized balcony that overlooked the fields and woods to the rear of the property. It was very quiet. The room was immaculately appointed and clean. Very comfortable and modern. The shower room was very clean and well equipped. Eggs and pancakes are cooked to order at breakfast. There is a lift which is just as well as the accommodation is arranged over several floors.

This is a lovely hotel run by a nice couple who do everything to make the guests comfortable. We loved the restaurant, the breakfast (especially during the week-end - mostly local and unpackaged products), the bed, the fact of having a sofa in the room. We could also rely on the hosts for advice for activities. They speak English, too.
