When I initially booked almost 5 months ago , I understood the shuttle would pick us up at the airport when we arrived but when I called from the airport , I was told we had to wait until 5 PM which meant almost a 5 hour wait for us . The website also said the shuttle was free but we were charged for both pick up and delivery back to the airport the following morning. If I had known that was the case , we would have stayed an extra night in downtown Munich . The hotel was relatively new and very nice but we were misinformed when we booked on the website .

We stayed in Halbergmoos for 7 days, using it as a base for...

We stayed in Halbergmoos for 7 days, using it as a base for visiting Munich, Ingolstadt and Salzburg. There's not much to the town itself as it mainly consists of office buildings and airport hotels but it is close to the airport. S-Line railway station (S8 line) is outside the centre of town. There are a few fairly decent restaurants around where we stayed (Hampton by Hilton Munich Airport South) in fairly easy walking distance. We tried the Movenpick, Oro Di Napoli and Il Girasole. There's one supermarket on the way into town and also one fuel station.

Comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, friendly staff, very close to the airport. And they have an easy to reserve shuttle to get you to the airport that is more reasonably priced than the taxi we took to get us to the hotel. Beware the taxi drivers, by the way, who seem to feel that they can scam a tourist out of extra fare. (At least that was our experience.) We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed our meals. Just bring cash, as they don’t take credit cards at the restaurant. The surrounding neighborhood is quaint residential and safe. My son and I enjoyed our morning walk and even found a lovely bakery about a km. away to buy croissants for our flight.

Unfortunately we stayed new years night.

Unfortunately we stayed new years night. Nothing around the hotel was open and the staff said we could buy Cold Pizza. The shuttle service , which was one of the attractions was discontinued 1/1/26 the day we would have used it. While received an email telling me all the services I could upgrade the discontinuation of the shuttle service was not mentioned. D grade property. Z grade location. Look elsewhere

The town is small and industrialized.

The town is small and industrialized. There were few options close to the hotel for dining, although we were surprised with the American menu at the LookOut restaurant at the artificial wave generator at the SurfTown facility, within walking distance of the hotel.

Great place for a short stay being close to the airport. Amazing friendly helpful staff. Restaurant meals are fantastic - both dinner and the breakfast.. Location easy to get from the train and short bus ride. Very clean and well maintained.

Stayed here the night before our flight from MUC. All the staff we came in contact with was extremely friendly, the room was clean and had everything you need + a super comfy bed! The breakfast buffet offered a variety of different foods and we booked the airport shuttle directly via the hotel, the pickup was on time and the drive took about 10 mins.
