Lovely, comfortable spacious room and bathroom, mmaculately clean. Staff were lovely but we had communication difficulties as our German is very poor. Breakfast was very good, great variety, exceptional fresh baked cherry tart,I wish I could have eaten it all. Very good coffee. Only downside was the shower screen over the bath was not high enough so the floor got very wet. A minor issue, overall very good hotel, and value for money

Beautiful community with a friendly citizenry.

Beautiful community with a friendly citizenry. The city center is very picturesque with a wonderful church center. We were able to enjoy a small but well-stocked Christmas market (indoor). We will return in the future.

Hotel zur Pfalz is a very good hotel, helpful staff. on-site parking. The only issue I had was that the restauant was closed for 2 nights. This meant we had to go out to find somewhere to eat. Not what I wanted to be doing after a long drive. I have stayed here before and the restaurant is excellent normally. I should have been warned when booking that is was closed.

This is an excellent hotel, well located especially if travelling from the UK to Italy. The room was perfect, comfortable bed, good duvet, good sized shower, and a well fitted out bathroom. There are Lidl and Aldi supermarkets nearby.

Perfect hotel for stop over .very close to A8 motorway . Every aspect of our stay was perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a first class hotel to or return on the journey.

It was easy to reach and in a nice spot in Kandel. The food, both dinner and breakfast were amazing, the breakfast buffet was very impressive. The staff was super kind and helpful!
