The best is its great location, especially in those rooms that have a total view of the Porta Nigra. It is close to the most enchanting places of Trier. The worst: a) the night staff is terrific, b) there is no designated space to leave your luggage for a few hours; they left it just behind the front desk. c) The bedclothes are not the standard in Mexico and the USA. It only includes a coat that does not completely protect you; it is too heavy in hot weather, and I suppose that having conditioned air in wintertime could be enough. But I didn´t like it.Guest review byFRANCISCO JAVIERMexico - 10.0
Koblenz is a beautiful city with a lot to see.
Koblenz is a beautiful city with a lot to see. Has a number of castles and churches to visit, and excellent restaurants. A number of sights to visit throughout the city. Rented a car and drove to some castles of the many that are in the region. The city is safe to walk around. Numerous sights to see around the city, such as, Basilica St Castor, Liebfrauenkirche, Deutsches Eck; where the River Mosel and River Rhine come together and massive statute of Emperor Wilhelm i, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Schloss Stolzenfels, and Jesuitenplatz. City worthwhile to visit with a lot of sights to see.Guest review byJoseUnited States - 10.0

There are so many restaurants, all great. Wonderful architecture, realistically lots of hidden gems take a little time and walk around you will be surprised and delighted. From H2 hotel nice food easy and doesn't break the bank, Krocodil restaurant Mainz an absolute delight simply the best schnitzel ,baked potatoes and salad and of course the staff are super friendly professional and they all speak English. GOLDEN GRILL in the square is one of a kind and brilliant, fabulous food, super clean and of course professional. loved it as did my colleagues. seriously you've got to try it.Guest review byKellyIreland - 8.0

A nice little town with a lovely castle but other than visiting the castle not much to do unless you are a hiker so would only recommend a short stay. Very little variance in for, too many pizza joints.Guest review byDouglasCanada - 10.0

WE have been before and it is still a great place to stay, on the river with boat trips, good roads to Trier etc, many wine tasting locations are within walking distance, it gets busy in the day but evenings when the coaches have gone it is really lovely!Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Beutiful city, restaurants with decent food, but rude service even though we comunicate in German. It was very clear that the locals (including the bussineses) are not happy with turists. I suspect even more hostility if you speak only English.Guest review bySebastianBelgium - 8.0

The city itself of Kaiserslautern is teeming with life downtown, and it's got plenty to do for fun and delicious food within a 15 minute walk from most hotels. Just don't cheap out on where you stay or you can get seriously jipped. We ate the best sushi I've had in Germany and visited the japanese garden. Very cool experience. Plus we walked through the square near the Saks hotel and shopped at the pop up farmer's market there.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Worms is a city of historical significance, severely...
Worms is a city of historical significance, severely battered by WW2. The cathedral is impressive, the role Worms played in European Medieval history left some traces, and the city prides itself in the references made to it in the Nibelungen-legend. There is a monument commemorating the trial against Marten Luther in 1520, and the nice river front has a Nibelungen sculpture. This is a good one-day or mid-day stop-over for tourist with a deep interest in German and European history. But bear in mind that the area is rich in cities that offer similar significance but somehow have withstood the teeth of time a bit betterGuest review byFrankNetherlands - 10.0

We walked the route - Rotweinwanderweg -it was spectacular and we had lovely lunch at Marienthal. Make sure where to catch the bus back. There is no indications in Dernau and the train does not operate --railway is under construction. Bad Neueahr is easy to walk around.Guest review byIsakSouth Africa - 10.0
Lovely sleepy town just 2 minutes from the Nurburgring...
Lovely sleepy town just 2 minutes from the Nurburgring entrance. A couple of great restaurants just off the main road, and many hotels that looked lovely (I stayed at Apex which was amazing). One word of warning - they have an 'air raid siren' to call the volunteer firefighters to action in the event of an emergency. As Brits, we did not know this and it wasn't mentioned to us, so we panicked when we heard it twice in one night. Given the current situation with Russia, we were a little worried. Once you know what it is though, it's fine.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom
