Many families visiting Koblenz loved staying at Fährhaus, Sander Hotel and Hotel Brenner.
Favourite spot was the square by the confluence of the two rivers, Great gathering place. Recommend taking a cable car across the rivers to the fortress. Great views of the city. Enjoyed coffee and strudel on a patio facing the river. Ate in Hotel restaurant, excellent food and service.
The time of the year to visit cities is dependent on the weather and fortunately it was a pleasant dry day but wished it were sunny to enjoy the ambience of the city. It was a holiday and therefore most shops were closed but one could imagine a wonderful time browsing all the wonderful boutique shops. We shall return to enjoy the culture, the shopping and eating opportunities offered by the city. We enjoyed a wonderful light meal at a hotel restaurant which baked its own bread.
Koblenz is a nice city. You can get all places by foot, which is super. Definitely should go to Citadel Ehrenbreitstein. You can go there by foot, with Funicular or with Cable car. Price are not cheap, but it pays to buy a ticket and look at everything, After that you should go on Deutches Eck. The Deutsches Eck is an artificially raised headland in Koblenz at the mouth of the Moselle and the Rhine. Old city is also nice and and pleasant to walk. Café Konditorei Werrmann: was founded in 1927, 93 years old and it is only in Koblenz. They have super coffe and cakes, definitly must see and try Koblenz has a beautiful promenade next to the Rhine and Moselle
A very nice city, perfect for a weekend visit. Even though it is not big but it has a lot to see, so you will be busy for sure. Perfect combo would be to see Burg Eltz at first and then drive to Koblenz and stay over night, as they are very close to each other.
A nice small city with magnificent landscape of the so called Deutsches Eck ( the fusion of the Rhein and the Mosel). It offers great possibilities for water sport or day trips to the villages nearby.
We chose Koblenz as a good place to briefly explore the Rhine valley, taking the train to Bingen on the west side, across the ferry to Rudesheim (another interesting town) and back to Koblenz along the east side of the valley. Koblenz itself has an attractive old town in the 'vee' of the Rhine and Moselle rivers with some good, well-priced restaurants. Try the Altes Brauhaus on Braugasse for traditional German food and beer! The cable car to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress is well worth a visit - we went in the evening, walked to the lookout point and witnessed a beautiful sunset.
Excellent breakfast with hot & cold buffet

Hotel Weinlaub offered my family and I a very relaxing stay - the pool, gardens, restaurant, and facilities are all first rate.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We booked with very little notice and they gladly accommodated us shortly thereafter. I brought a wine bottle we purchased earlier in our trip down to the bar and they gladly opened it for me and I took it back to our room for my partner and I to enjoy. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and went over the allowed time but they allowed us to eat and didn’t take anything away until we had finished eating - that was very kind of you and very much appreciated. Thank you!
Excellent value for money, very quiet location but only a 10 minute walk to the city center, breakfast was great, all in all an excellent experience!
Great breakfast, loacation, parked right across for free
Very nich. Worth more stars 😎
Is in a perfect location, really comfy place. You can get a really good breakfast in the coffee that is located downstairs.
Best breakfast or our one month holiday
This property is very clean and big size
Although the property is under construction, the room was perfect! It was clean, cozy, up to date, and very comfortable. It was super cheap and an excellent choice in comparison to some of the rooms we have paid a high price for. Our rooms were located on the 2nd and 4th floor. We did not experience any street or construction noise. We were unable to use the elevator as expected due to the construction but we didn’t mind as that is a luxury. Most of the hotels don’t have them and we are used to walking....Loved the check-in and check-out machine! So simple to use! WiFi was super fast. Appreciated the recommendation to Ulrike’s for breakfast. It was better than fair! Once all the renovations are done, the building will be a hit! Best of luck!
Everything. Thank you very much - we really enjoyed staying at Stein Boarding house.
Everything was absolutely super - but not is not in walking distance to the city center
