All staff member were exceptionally friendly. The senior boss to start with. 😊 The rooms were very functional, large, modern, with all amenities and even with a coffee machine and water boiler. Parking space in front of the house. The restaurant Kunz was excellent. Very friendly service. Great food.

Lovely location on the edge of the village overlooking vineyards, right next to a small winery, whose wines are available here. Run by a lively couple who made us feel most welcome. Bike friendly, and well located within cycling distance of the other towns and villages in the area. Cafe serves excellent coffee and cakes between 2 - 6 pm.

This was the second time we stayed at Le Cleebourg on our return to Britain - and it was just as good as the first time. The location was absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful secluded chateau about a km up the mountain with a wonderful wine bar, beautiful patio and view. An amazing place to enjoy coffee, wine, and company. The staff was kind, caring, and friendly. Breakfast was local and fresh and having my coffee on the patio made for a fantastic morning, before going out to explore the region. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. A modern building, very well appointed and equipped. My room was in effect a suite. Staff most pleasant and efficient. The breakfast lived up to its description as gourmet. The restaurant too was of a high standard. Plenty of parking space and a quiet location. I could not fault anything.

Wonderful Hotel, the rooms are stylish, clean and spacious. The breakfast is very good and the outside space is impressive. I attended a wedding and we could have not had a better event - thank you so much! I want to highlight especially Ms. Zech at the reception - she was absolutely amazing!

Speyer old town is very typical old Germany, nice streets with bars/restaurants etc, large church, sea life centre, Technic Museum, historical Jewish courtyard with a fascinating history. Easy access by road from the A9/A61/B39. Worth a visit is the Hausbrauerie Domhof for great food and local beer.

The Achat Hotel is awesome in every way, the location is...

The Achat Hotel is awesome in every way, the location is just 2 minutes walk from the train station and the bus station. You have almost everything around, shops, restaurants, church, post office, etc. The staff are fantastic, they speak English and patiently listen to their clients, they give you all information you request for to visit the village. I highly recommend this hotel, it is also very neat. I will suggest that they should add electric kettle and coffee mugs in the rooms though I think I was told that there was a coffee machine somewhere but I didn't search for it, I prefer having tea or coffee in my room whenever I want without going out to get some. Apart from that, I so much love the Achat hotel at Neustadt an winestrasse

There was lots to explore here. We enjoyed the Biergartens. Be sure to have euros on hand because a lot of establishments didn't except card payments. You could easily walk this city which is really nice.

If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not...

If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not staying in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Sure they are only separated by the Rhein river but things could have been much easier in my case if I had found property in Mannheim. Do not take my word for it though, try it for yourself.

Still lots of road construction going on, but progress is being made. Walking downtown is easy, finding an on-street parking space can be a headache unless you want to take advantage of parking structures. The 750-year celebration is offering lots of free entertainment downtown,

Quiet historical working centre surrounded by autumnal parks...

Quiet historical working centre surrounded by autumnal parks and spaces that follow line of former ramparts. Easy to explore on foot and short stroll from station. Fascinating architecture and good links to explore surrounding region. A number of small museums. Eat in the Greek, the Viergarten Restaurant and neighbouring pub. Nice cafe food for lunch . New theatre just establishing itself for shows .

A short stay, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Speyer. Most of our time was spent exploring the Technik Museum Speyer, Speyer Cathedral, and the Jewish Courtyard, all of which left a very positive impression. Each attraction was unique and well worth visiting. We would happily recommend Speyer to other travelers.

Interesting town with some nice old architecture.

Interesting town with some nice old architecture. A visit to the Eis Cafe Cortina should be planned - great ice cream. Some good places to sit and watch the world go by. In the Kurpark, enjoy the Toskana Garden and terrace. Lots of opportunities to sample wine from local vineyards.

Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in...

Ludwigshafen am Rhein is one of the ugliest cities in Germany. It was built around the chemical plant of BASF with 60 thousand employees. They are tearing down the Rathaus Center and Berliner Platz looks like after a bombing. The raised highways are also partially removed and the Rhine bridges have to be repaired. The main shopping street has 1 Euro Shops, closed shops and other stuff. Terrible. But it's always worth to go there when you have old friends there. No matter how ugly the town is, I will return. The best thing is the BASF wine cellar in Anilinstrasse they have amazing wines.
