Everything was perfect. Spacious and clean room with very comfortable mattresses, excelent food (great respect to the cooks who prepared the dinner), wellness area with an amazing view, infinity pool, and last but not least professional and helpful stuff. We also payed attention to the little details that really made the hotel special, such as the design or cosmetics and scents used in the sauna.

Lovely old style Bavarian hotel. The rooms have older furnishings, but very stylish, and the bathrooms are new. Rooms in building B have nice balconies with partial mountain views. Everything is clean. The main building reception and dining area is a work of art, as is the main building facade, purely beautiful. The hotel does not have air conditioning, but even in a heatwave rooms get nice and cool in the evening.

There is not much happening in Klais, other than a few walks or cross country skiing in winter. Now in autumn it is a lovely, quiet base for all sorts of excursions in the vicinity. Mittenwald and Garmisch Partenkirchen are only a few km away.

Klais is very small village, there is nothing, no bakery no...

Klais is very small village, there is nothing, no bakery no shops. On the other hand it is very quiet and just a short drive to Garmisch. Some hikes can be started directly from there. There is a train and a bus station.

Thanks to the hosts’ attention and care, we felt like welcome guests. The hotel is furnished cozily and with love. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
