Everyone is so kind. One of the places where I felt like the price for the room was too low. Clean, comfortable,... to say the least. There are so many activities to do around and the owner takes his time to explain and suggest to you (even though you can tell he is very busy). Their spa facilities are the best I've seen so far. Amazing breakfast as well.

We checked in for a night when travelling from Slovenia toward Munich airport and what a find! Clean, spacious, quiet, so well organised. The breakfast was incredible, do it yourself pancakes, eggs our way, beautiful bread basket, all fabulous and fresh. We had a quick sauna in our room too which was awesome. When we are back / we will plan some alpine adventures in this area to stay here again - it was the best - just too short for us!

The apartment and where it was located - fantastic so quiet...

The apartment and where it was located - fantastic so quiet and lovely views also just a little walk away are the ski lifts to go up to the mountains. We hired bikes in the local town they were extremely helpful also we ate in the local pizza restaurant which we would recommend. We also took a trip into Austria 🇦🇹 fantastic as well

The town itself doesn't offer much, but it's very centrally...

The town itself doesn't offer much, but it's very centrally located to the surrounding attractions (Chiemsee, Königssee, and also Austria). Places like Salzburg, Kufstein, and Rosenheim are easily accessible. There's a highly recommended cheese dairy in Kössen. We didn't use the nearby mountain lifts.

Marquartstein is a small town, not as well-known as...

Marquartstein is a small town, not as well-known as Ruhpolding or Reit im Winkl. There's a lovely adventure park for children. The chairlift to the Hochplatte mountain, with its short forest adventure trail, is highly recommended for families with children. Many alpine pastures are located nearby.

Marquartstein is an ideal place for hikers and cyclists.

Marquartstein is an ideal place for hikers and cyclists. The opportunities for excursions into the mountains, to Lake Chiemsee, or along the Tiroler Ache river are excellent. For us, getting around Marquartstein by car was the best option.

A lovely, friendly place.

A lovely, friendly place. The locals are welcoming and helpful. Located at the foot of the Kampenwand and Hochplatte mountains, it's the ideal starting point for hikes in the mountains. Lake Chiemsee is also easily accessible, about 20-30 minutes by car, depending on your destination. It's cozy and peaceful, away from the tourist hotspots. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely hotel which we have used in the past. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on the Monday evening & the recommendation to another one was unfortunately fully booked so had to get back in the car .

I was arriving quite late and they arranged everything so I could get into the hotel and room. Rooms according to the pictures Cosy and warm, bathrooms are refitted with new appliances as well.

Very nice and clean two star hotel but feels like a three star and more upscale. The breakfast was good and dogs are allowed but for a 10€ fee per night. It's close to the Chiemsee.
