The hotel is easy to reach from the highway, it is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms, incorporating motifs from the old schoolhouse that it used to be, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. The breakfast is very nice, but the real highlight here is the exceptional restaurant. Plan to have dinner there! The food is gourmet, always so good, beautifully presented and creative, with an excellent wine list. Also the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable and helpful.

The staff was very nice, we came late to the hotel, but we have got an excellent service in the restaurant. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. Big surprise for us and the dogs! A blanket and two bowls with food. Very nice experience after our 11 hours trip in the car, a very nice walk in the beautifull nature.

We loved everything about this peaceful hotel in the woods. The house has character and warmth, and our Deluxe room was spacious, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Frau Stecker was incredibly welcoming and helpful — she explained everything clearly and made us feel at home. We stayed twice — on the way to Norway and on the way back — and both times it was the perfect stop to rest and relax. The area is calm and green, and the atmosphere is ideal for unwinding after a long drive. We especially appreciated the personal touch and quiet surroundings.

Traveling with a small dog, our room was more than pleasant, it had immediate access to the park across the street. The room is spacious, the bed comfortable and the pillows perfect. We had dinner at the restaurant, it was delicious, wine selection was the cherry on top :-) The breakfast was perfect. The hotel is easy access from the highway.

Although our stay here was more expensive than other similar venues we stayed in, I have to say that the staff were very professional and helpful and we enjoyed an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant, which was beautifully presented and obviously popular with locals as well as guests.
