We ate in the restaurant and although not cheap, the food was excellent and was well presented.
An impressive wine list.

We stayed at the Gasthaus Krone-Post in Simonswald with our family (two adults and two children) and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The location is excellent, everything was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was very good, and having both a car park and a playground nearby was perfect for families.
The guesthouse, located about 500 metres from the main building, was very peaceful, offered a wonderful view, and was also spotless. We truly enjoyed our time there.

We had a warm welcome at the Landgasthaus Gruener Baum. The room was nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the valley. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings – the food was delicious! We would strongly recommend it for a stay in Simonswald.

The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was great and customized for us (we needed lactose free dairy), the rooms were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was solid. There's a wonderful public pool nearby that the hotel gave us passes for.

Charming hotel blending traditional common areas with modern rooms, perfect for a peaceful retreat. Delicious breakfast. The restaurant offers great quality but is a bit pricey. Great balcony with relaxing views that we enjoyed every evening.
