like they always say in business, location, location,location, well Hotel stadt soest has it. if your a tourist this is definitely the place to stay, walking distance to everything in Soest, outdoor restaurants, shops, even a nice small tavern next door where you can sit outside and relax.. the rooms are very nice, very clean, no carpet on the floors which I prefer as the floors are much cleaner, yes hot water, and a place to park if you have rental car. and last the staff and owner are super nice and accommodating. its the old world German charm you are looking for

Very friendly and accommodating owners, The location is ideal for walking into the town center, to the supermarkets and for road access out with Soest. The entire apartment is nicely decorated and feels fresh and spacious. Will definitely recommend to others and book future stays if available.

Beautifully appointed apartment, top notch equipment and facilities. Lovely big windows. Great location, almost within the town centre and close to the old town. Supermarkets (Kik, Lidl) 10 minutes away by foot. Superb responses from Petra although we never actually met! The lounge/TV area includes a comfortable, stylish sofa and armchair plus TV, just next to the fabulous kitchen, and is a lovely space. Spacious bathroom. Great dimmable lights, very effective heating (also air conditioning I think). Fabulous all round, we'll be back!

A charming pictoresque town with very friendly people.

A charming pictoresque town with very friendly people. We had a delicious dinner in a brewery and by coincidence managed to go to a concert in a church. Also the thermal spa in a neighbouring town is certainly worthy of a visit.

Soest was a lovely town to stay in and explore.

Soest was a lovely town to stay in and explore. Enjoyed the walk around the tree-lined historic city wall, the pedestrian-only shopping streets, the churches, and the central plaza was a perfect place to stop for a beer.

Our visit was sort of a coincidence - we came for a long...

Our visit was sort of a coincidence - we came for a long hike in the Möhnesee forest but hadn't found a suitable overnight stay there. Thus I tried Soest (and had to check the pronunciation - "Sohst" and not "Suhst" or "Söhst"). We were very pleasantly surprised by this old Hanse town!

We visit friends in Soest but always take the opportunity to have a walk around the city walls and into the centre. Its a nice picturesque old town with very good shops, restaurants and cafes. We ate in the Pilgrim Haus hotel restaurant which is excellent and also the town centre cafe near the pond. You can walk everywhere within the centre, Soest is not that big.

The food was excellent, and the room we had, majestic! Despite not speaking German there were no misunderstandings. Hotel Pilgrimhaus is right next to the wall of Soest, and highly evocative of the city, and the hotel's, medieval origins. Easy walk into the centre, and a walk round the walls is a must.

Hotel was very close to train station but there was no noise. Very close to city center also. Rooms cleaned every day, beds were very comfortable and it was very easy to check in when we were doing it after reception closed.
