We had one of the apartments and it was so well stocked, spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. We had everything we needed, and more. The pool was lovely and restaurant was brilliant. We stayed over Easter and our 3 and 6 year old were thrilled to find the Easter Bunny had visited and left chocolate on Easter Sunday morning outside our front door! Staff were also friendly and helpful.

I was staying at this hotel for 4 days whilst visiting my son. I had travelled from the UK to LossBurg on my motorcycle. I arrived at the hotel on the Friday afternoon after having a bag stolen from my motorcycle during a coffee stop at Marmoutier, France. The staff were incredible...! Nothing was too much of a problem and they reassured me that they would help in anyway I needed. Even the two Hotel Maintenance staff made sure I had a bottle of fresh cold Springwater as I sorted out the carnage of my situation having lost my wallet, passport, phone, bank cards, money and glasses. I have previously lived in Germany and have travelled that country extensively and always received an outstanding friendly welcome and an unquestionable level of good service but the Wellness Hotel and its staff went above and beyond to ensure I had an enjoyable and uncomplicate stay. The hotel is spotless, the location is excellent for just relaxing at the Spa, sightseeing, or just exploring the local area. The facilities are superb, the food is prepared with fresh ingredients, cooked with care and presented well. Lovey outdoor dining and socialising area and easy onsite secure parking. The hotel has a very quiet, calm and relaxed atmosphere. And the staff ?, well I can't praise them enough for their enthusiasm, dedication, happy personalities and level of customer service and care. Thank all at the Wellness Hotel Hohenrodt for all your help, support and a fantastic stay whilst visiting my son. Looking forward to future visits. Ian CROCK.

The hotel is located in the very lovely town of Freudenstadt, just next to the Black Forest where you can hike in the forest. It is very nicely decorated, with spacious and comfy rooms with great views. The food was great, the staff was amazing.

Very comfortable room with modern bathroom. Good location just opposite the train station and supermarket. Breakfast basic but with a variety of fresh fruits. The Greek restaurant is very cozy. The lady who was serving breakfast asked me every morning if I needed anything extra for the room. She was very attentive and helpful. Hope this message will be conveyed to her.

I chose this hotel for a weekend getaway in the Black Forest, as it was close to some hiking paths I wanted to explore and it offered half-board and a fitness centre. The staff was extremely friendly and I was able to communicate with them in English, since my German is still quite rudimentary. There was enough parking space outside when I arrived, but a garage at an extra cost can also be arranged. Google Maps directions were also very clear and precise. The hotel is comfortable overall. I especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations, mainly in the dining room. Speaking of dining, the food was very good and they had plenty of options the evening I ate there, including vegetarian. The breakfast buffet was also plenty enough, with eggs, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruit, etc. The gym is quite small, but I could get a run and some stretches done (I took a towel from my room, and maybe you should bring a water bottle as well, but there’s a little buffer station by the pool that is next to the gym. I also managed to use the pool and do some laps, but I was hoping to find a place to sit or lay down, like a chaise-longue, but there wasn’t enough space and everything was taken over or “reserved” with towels and robes by other people. But the water temperature was ok and the pool looked cleaned. My tiny complaint is about the room. The room itself is more than adequate for one person, but the bed was very uncomfortable and there was only one very soft pillow. I had to fold some of the towels inside the spa basket to make an extra “pillow”, but I didn’t sleep well at all. Also, the bed was quite spacious for one, but the duvet cover was single-sized… Luckily I found some blankets in the wardrobe to keep the duvet from coming off near my feet and to keep me warmer. Also, the bathroom is quite dated, especially the shower. Also, no body lotion, so I’m glad I brought my travel-sized one as well as my shampoo and Havaianas (for the pool).
