The people were amazing, very kind and service oriented! When we arrived on the first day the kitchen was already closed, but they still made us dinner, which was greatly appreciated. They also remembered our breakfast drinks. It’s little things like this that make you want to come back. Beds were also comfortable, everything was clean. Food was very good, we chose to have dinner in the hotel every night. Good vegetarian options. Very good value for price.

Booked as a stopping point on the way back to the UK it was a great choice. The hotel is at a cross roads in the Black Forest but there was no noise in the night. The room was very comfy and the breakfast was great. The highlight was the evening meal in the restaurant onsite. When you stay in the middle of nowhere with only one eating option you hope it was good and this one was. The restaurant was very busy which was a good sign. It had a good range of food including some seasonal mushroom options which were delicious. An all round good stay.

We were met by the owner who seemed as a very nice person in general. The place is great for Schwarzwald exploration and if you're coming from Freiburg by car (like we did) you'll be met with the most beautiful landscapes on your way. Also be sure to book a room with a balcony - the view is amazing. Overall, we felt like at home. Thank you!

It might be a hotel but it gives you the feeling of a warm and cozy cabin in the mountains. It might not be the hotel with the most modern amenities but "if it ain't broke don't fix it". This was truly the best hotel experience I have had as a tourist. I would also highly recommend the hotel restaurant, in my opinion it has the best schnitzel in the entire Germany! Fair warning, though there is pretty much nobody who speaks English you can get pretty far with just pointing and saying please
