Breakfast is a very comprehensive spread of breads, fruit, cereals, meats, fish and cheese, and boiled eggs are offered separately. Rooms on the front of the hotel overlook the canal and market place, and on the landing is a keg of cold beer, a fridge with other drinks (for sale) and tea making facilities. I found the bed very comfortable and heating is very easy to operate and very effective. Reception staff speak enough English for general purposes. Food in the restaurant is traditional and extremely generous.

The swimming pool, fitness room and sauna were excellent.. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.

Super friendly stuff. The young guy was checking us in, making us breakfast and saving us the dinner. And we could even warm it up the next day.

It was really warm and clean. Staff were very helpful and breakfasts delicious. We could walk everywhere in town and there was a really good restaurant next door that we went to one evening, called Dragsreth, I think. You need to book though,

Location and building with their more than 140 year history are stunning. The wooden staircase in the old part of the hotel is phenomenal. The interior was preserved really well and you get an idea of how it was to be a student at this former school back in the 1880's. Staff was friendly, breakfast buffet more than sufficient. Parking is on the premises and really cheap.

The staff are very friendly, super welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Great selection for breakfast, all freshly prepared and tasty. I especially like the 'Husumer Pannfisch mit Salat' for evening dining in the restaurant. A great location in the centre of Husum - beautiful shops nearby and the beautiful Schloss Garten is only a 2 minute walk away - ideal for an uplifting walk before breakfast. I have stayed here many times and will be back 🥰
