We loved the bonus of a sauna and internal heated pool, and a lounge with a pool table and a darts board. All of this on top of a large room, with a small but perfectly kitted mini-kitchen., and everything else one else expected.

We had a very large room with a separate hallway with large wardrobe. There were comfortable armchairs and table plus fridge in the room. There was a large balcony with dining furniture and furniture to relax in. There was a nice view of the harbour. There was a good breakfast buffet which was extra cost but very modest.

The host is a very nice woman. FYI: the apartment is actually a large, older mobile home that has been converted into an apartment, with a small additional room containing a bunk bed. However, it matches the pictures provided and, considering the price, it’s a fair deal. Breakfast is not included in the apartment price.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with my 9-year-old. The self-check-in with the coded lock was very convenient, no keys to carry around. Public transportation is excellent, with a train station just a 10-minute walk away. You can easily get to Copenhagen and other towns, we used it every day. There's also secure parking and a bike cage. The apartment would be perfect with the addition of a hairdryer and a washing machine for longer stays, but we had a fantastic time regardless 😊

Location is close to nature, and easy to get by bicycle from frederiksværk and Frederikssund. The hosts, Hanna and family were friendly and very available, and made sure I was comfortable. The WiFi was excellent for my remote work. Lovely room, very bright and quiet, with views to the garden in each direction, but also with privacy, so It almost feels like you are in a separate house. The shower was better than my own shower at home.

Melby is one of several little villages with a few...

Melby is one of several little villages with a few kilometers between them in this area. Melby has a train station with local trains, a beautiful church and an old mill. Around it you find mounds from the bronze age, farm land, paths and narrow roads. Half an hours walk to the north you have Liseleje with grocery store, bakery, restaurants and one of Sealands better beaches. There are more restaurants in Frederiksværk, Asserbo, Torup and Hundested, some of them even good, all of them cozy. To get around I recommend car, but there are trains and busses as well, and during summer cycling ang walking is also nice.
