It’s a pretty town with a lot of interesting old buildings.

It’s a pretty town with a lot of interesting old buildings. It felt safe and welcoming. There is a lovely park, part formal and part wild/woodland with the river running through it. There are a lot of shops in the town centre to suit all tastes and needs. Everything is within reasonable walking distance from the station and there are ‘footprints’ on the paths which lead you around the best/historic parts.

The whole Hans Christian Anderson story is just so cool. the...

The whole Hans Christian Anderson story is just so cool. the museum is well worth a trip. Also go see the Trolls by Thomas Dambo. there are 3 on the island of Fyn. The zoo in Odense is also very beautiful an well worth a visit.

Charming city with lots to see and has a little bit of something for everyone. Odense is very walkable and you can go around without needing public transport. Hans Christian Andersen Museum was definitely the highlight of the stay. We had our first dinner at Mai's Wok, which had really good price-quality ratio. Copious and delicious food, fantastic and warm service. Also went to Kunst Museum Brandts. Storms Pakhus is a go-to if you want to have great variety of food with a live band or DJ night to follow. It's a fantastic food market where you can eat stuff that's not burgers. We had the best Pakistani tandoori chicken and lamb. We walked by the harbor and saw an area for parkour and a skatepark. There was also a big park in the city with a theater stage for a nice little HC Andersen show for the kids.

This is the 6th year I have been here for work.

This is the 6th year I have been here for work. It is a lovely city to explore. There is history and can be as social or as quiet as you like.Also good public transport though you need an app for the Tram. Recommend getting the DSB app for train travel as very easy to set up and use and if you plan training travel in advance can save yo u money. Wise to book a seat on the trains if any length of time as can be busy.

Lovely town which was easy to navigate and walk around.

Lovely town which was easy to navigate and walk around. We were only there for a day and a half but walked round the town, visited the food court - to be recommended- walked along the river past the zoo. Some nice restaurants with good choice - a bit more difficult for vegetarians but still doable. The museums are in the centre - If I returned a car would be a definite as there is a lot to see and do.

The pedestrianised centre is amazing.

The pedestrianised centre is amazing. A mixture of old and new buildings. Good museums. Lovely walking along the river towards the zoo and beyond. Good choice of restaurants but recommend booking ahead specially on festive weeks. Also enjoyed greatly watching the badminton championship- the main reason for our visit.

The hotel was walking distance from the train station and was just across the road from the are where Hans Christian Anderson stayed. The room was a good size, larger than others we’d had in Denmark. Lovely selection of breakfast goodies.
