The location, when you rent a bike (7 $) you can reach all the sites in the vicinity. I definitely recommend Cascada Vida Natural. The hostel had a very rustic feel, but there was hot water. Breakfast was great! Really liked the hammocks. The staff was always nice and there are two very cute cats living on the property. I can definitely recommend going there! I can also recommend doing a hike in the jungle with Henry, it was really adventurous.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Even though it is a bit remote, it still has many comforts. It had a beautiful pool on extensive grounds that are well maintained. The staff was very attentive whenever we needed something. We just ate there, since it was quite a drive to get to other options, and the food was good. There's a large number of cool Oropendola birds that hang out there, making an unearthly wake up call at sunrise, which I found quite pleasant. It took us a little extra effort to find because Google Maps doesn't show the dirt road that must be traveled to get there, so we had to do a little more exploration to find it. There's a sign on the main road which shows the dirt road turnoff. Eventually you reach a very small wooden bridge leading to a pair of concrete tracks into the jungle, so the road is minimal on the final approach to the resort.

We enjoyed our stay with Nelson at Las Palmas. He, and his young manager Victor, was so helpful and friendly. Our cabin was neat, clean and very comfortable and the pool was great. Breakfasts and the dinner we enjoyed at the Finca were delicious. Don’t hesitate to reserve here! You won’t regret it!! Milton, a local taxi driver, was very reliable and will take you to town for $5.

They took 10 days to reply. We got there and it was completely dark. When we crossed the river, I didnt feel safe to proceed into the pick dark with my son. I walked to a house to ask but no one responded. 10 days to reply is untolerable.

OMG! This place is absolutely incredible! The bungalow is stunning, the views are magnificent, the grounds are unmatched. Franzi and family are absolutely delightful and we really enjoyed some of the excursions that we did (animal rescue - absolutely incredible work they are doing for the conservation of the land and the animals that live in the jungle; half day jungle trek with Julio - we learned so much about the plants and trees of the forest, dunking in the natural waterslides was a bonus, cocao tour). We ordered a breakfast basket each morning which was out of this world and also a dinner one night which was great! The food was homemade and from the land, it was delicious!
