The decor was fantastic and the breakfast outstanding. This is a gem of a place with a great restaurant a short walk down the hill. We are so pleased we found it and will certainly recommend it to others visiting the area.

Excellent freshly prepared breakfast.

We were passing by so stayed only 1night. We did not expect much, to be allowed to stay with a dog and have where to park the car. Los Guardeses exceeded our expectation by super friendly and kind staff, no extra charges for the dog, breakfast included in the price and free parking on the street. Thank you so much!

It was a beautiful old Spanish hotel. Food was lovely in the cafeteria. Practised my Spanish.

Staff location comfort breakfast

Everything about this property was excellent!! Great value for the money. Staff at the hotel were the highlight. A front desk staffed by people who took the time to answer questions and speak with us. Cleaning staff asked if we needed anything. We did not participate in the hotel breakfast but were able to obtain hot water for making coffee. The room and all of the hotel was very clean, nice linens and a comfortable bed. Thank you for providing us with a great place to stay during our visit to Lierganes. You were wonderful.

One of the most wonderful hotels I’ve stayed in. You can feel the amount of warmth and care that went into it. It is in a beautiful historic building with a big garden and a view over the river and mountains. My room was very spacious and tastefully arranged and had everything I needed. The breakfast was also lovely. Gabriel, Anna and Ines were fantastic hosts - I felt very welcome and it was a privilege to spend some time chatting with their lovely family and to see kids playing. Liérganes is a great village and I hope to return again in the future and stay at El Arral again.

The location was perfect for the Rallye Festival Hoznayo, the rooms were spoiltlessly clean, the atmosphere was good, the service and amenities were exceptional and the Spanish people were very helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Viva España 🥰😍

Beautiful gardens and surroundings

The property was very nice and clean. Bedroom was beautiful . Breakfast was good

We had a big lovely clean room with all the amenities. There was a humidifying fan which was great for the heat. The stay were lovely and informative even more so with the language barrier but we still had loverly conversations. Definitely likely to stay again as close and easy access to the ferry at Santander.

This is a fantastic place if you're looking for peace and quiet, friendly hosts, delicious breakfasts, and a great location (quiet enough to be peaceful but not too far from the city and the ocean). We'll definitely be back.

Great farmhouse guesthouse with breakfast option. Close to the ferry that goes to Santander. Not many services nearby but a town over has markets, restaurants, etc. a few restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable room and personable owners.
