Set in the center of Aracena, Hotel Convento Aracena & SPA is housed in a charming, restored 17th-century convent. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, gardens and cloisters. The location is perfect in the middle of town. The building is historic but extremely well renovated. Facilities are refined and comfortable. Swimming pool and pool bar very pleasant. Breakfasts copious and high quality. Coffee excellent -- a rarity in hotels. Parking inside and with easy access. Staff are competwnt and always smiling!
Located in Aracena, a 13-minute walk from La Gruta de las Maravillas, Hotel Galería Essentia has a number of amenities including a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. This is a fabulous, modern boutique hotel. All bedrooms are individually designed and decorated, as are most of the communal areas. Various artworks are dotted around the hotel and the furnishings, from tables and chairs to the lighting, all show unique design features. The restaurant is of a very high standard at reasonable prices and the rooftop terrace and pool are stunning. All the sights of Aracena are within walking distance - the furthest barely 15 minutes on foot - so we just left the car in the car park for the three nights we were there.
Hotel Los Castaños is set in the heart of Andalucia’s Sierra de Aracena Natural Park. This traditional hotel offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi internet access. The hotel staff were fun and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The fire in the lobby was kept going at all times and was a pleasant place to relax and warm-up from the midwinter chill. Breakfast by the fire each morning was very nice.
A period manor house dating back to the end of the 19th century, located in a stunning setting, within the Aracena and Picos de Aroche nature reserve. This is a family run hotel , the owner is a first class chef, although it is a little off the beaten track in a beautiful quiet part of Spain your efforts will be rewarded.
This apartment hotel, located in the heart of a nature reserve, is a wonderful destination for those who wish to spend time closer to and appreciating nature. The room was very large and luxurious. The staff very friendly and helpful. The setting is very tranquil and is not really very far to town if you have a car. The parking was great. The pets are all very friendly.

Great place to spend a couple of nights and days. Buy the combo ticket to visit the cave, castle, and ham museum as it's a good bargain, especially for Seniors. We were able to visit the museum one evening and the other two attractions the following day. It was a pleasant town for walking. We parked the car near our guesthouse and didn't move it until we left to our next destination. Casa Rural Cinco Balcones was a very nice guesthouse. We enjoyed our visit.
Lovely place. Bought a bundle ticket for the grotto, castle and museum. Food in town was great. Tapas in Rincon de Juan were excellent. As were a couple of restaurants on the main square. Hiking good and some lovely village around and about to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Enjoyed the trails between villages. Routes accessible for mountain biking are not well marked. Be sure you are equipped with a good GPS/compass and elevation info. Walking trails are very difficult for biking. Maps do not give enough detail. Ended up on the road much of the time. Absolutely beautiful area! We will return, as there is much to explore.
Aracena was a lovely friendly place, with lots of places to eat out. Everything is walking distance, But if your not to good on your feet there is a little train to take you to some of the sights around...There isn't a great deal to see so a weekend was enough for us, A visit to the caves are a must, downside your not allowed to take photos inside the caves and there is no where to purchase any photos of the inside...But I did manage to buy a book about the caves in the musiuim which has a couple of photos in it...
There were some really good restaurants and bars. The Greta was a very nice place to visit. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant and it was wonderful. I recommend it.the hotel is in an ideal situation for easy access to all the bars etc.lots of nice walks too.
Confiterias Rufino. If you like sweet pastries this is the place to go. The cavern was great and the guide was politeness personified. There's a place directly across where the tour train is that has great tapas and the price is very reasonable.

Everything is just like the photos. The staff were quiet, professional and friendly. The 16€ 3- course menu was good value and beautifully cooked (I recommend the presa de Iberico). How nice to have a G&T on the shady terrace over looking the pool. Easy parking out front, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and toiletries provided. Good A.C. and WiFi. Pool is 10 x 5m. Breakfast generally value for money. Not much in the town but there is a grocers and a bar. If you're in the area, then you can't go wrong.

We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us around. Everything is spotless, the bathroom in the room as well. There's tea and coffee available in the communal kitchen. And there's Netflix in the rooms, bonus!! It is a bit of a walk, up a steep hill, if walking from town, I'd say it's approximately 15-20 min walk. We usually stay in the convento but definitely recommend this guest house to anyone and will stay again!

This is a lovely smaller hotel. The reception/common area is beautifully decorated and the eating area both indoors and outdoors also lovely. The room was a good size, beds comfortable, bathroom excellent and a wardrobe for clothes. The breakfast was good value. I definitely would recommend this hotel as excellent value for the cost.

Good facilities in a small family-run hotel. Very clean, plentiful hot water, air-con/heating, small fridge in room. Cafe/bar downstairs. As a bonus, well equipped kitchen available, as well as guest lounge. Owner can offer advice on local sights and hiking routes. Easy to find nearby on-street parking.
