The house is in a beautiful village in the mountains, with magnificent view on to a valley and surrounding cliffs. The location is excellent to those who prefer quiet and bucolic holiday. The house is a nice old building and fully renovated. Being in the mountains, the temperature is always about 10 degrees below the sea level temperature, so the air conditioner was not missed (as there is none). There are many other nice villages nearby with plenty of good restaurants. Excellent hiking region, Andorra and France (Carcassone etc) is not far away either, one can find rafting, hiking and other sport activities in the nature. Barcelone is about 90-120 mins drive, but possible to visit on a day trip, as well as the other beaches of NE Catalonya or SW France. There is a bakery a few yards from the house in the vilage, where we were able to buy fresh bread every morning (excellent coffee too) - and it was really delicious. Breakfast under the willow tree in the front yard of the house is an experience worth remembering. The house was spacious for 4 people, and I have found it comfortable. Owner (land lady) was helpful and friendly. Helped us to find nice spots to visit, swimming pools and best restaurants too. there are plenty of hiking maps of the local mountains in the house for the guests to use. I definitely wish to go back again as this was one of the best holidays I have ever had.
