The unique atmosphere of the house is giving a welcoming and relaxing feeling, while encouraging some interaction with other guests, for example during the shared dinner. The whole place is very beautiful, no details are missed. Huge thanks to the staff who was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. Even though I could be spending all my time by the pool, I also enjoyed the surrounding areas full of nature and great for hiking and bike rides.

Fantastic historical building in a peaceful country location, brilliantly renovated to an apartment with a fantastic friendly and helpful host.

Mas Pere Pau is located in the natural setting of Bruguers, in Besalú, 5 minutes' drive from the city centre. It offers well-equipped apartments, studios and rooms with mountain and garden views.

This is an elegant old home converted to a hotel and is brilliantly located at the end of the wonderful bridge at the entry to the old town. The front desk lady was so proud of the hotel and welcoming to us as well.

Casa Marcial (adults only) is located in the beautiful town of Besalú, just 100 metres from the mediaeval bridge. This property offers a garden with an outdoor pool and great views.

A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Good room overlooking the village street. The garden and terrace were a great advantage on a hot day and the rooms overlooking the garden would be lovely . Excellent breakfast. Would be good when pizza restaurant is open on more days

Where to start. Everything was wonderful! The location is at a lovely, beautiful Spanish village, where you can come home to relax after sightseeing the village itself or many other lovely places in the area/nearby (close by other lovely towns as Banyoles, Figueres (Dalí or other museums), Girona, Besalu, Olot and so on + no longer than an hour drive to Port Lligat, Cadaqués (Dalí and beautiful village anyhow), Vic and more). It’s perfectly situated and a perfect place to drive around to see Catalunya and come back to this great home base! The place is big enough and you have all the privacy. Also, there is enough parking space. The house is beautiful from the outside and inside and has so much character: typical Spanish and decorated with beautiful paintings, also of the famous owner Olga! The owners Olga & Llorrens are the most welcoming, kind, friendly and heartwarming persons. They live the Spanish saying: mi casa e su casa. A beautiful couple who made us feel very welcome from the beginning; they brighten up your day! They were also super helpful and gave several advice on where to go, to eat or what to see in the area. The breakfast was made with love everyday. The space was clean and our beds were great; we slept very well. I’ve been in southern Spain with friends and to work, then in Barcelona for work, and then I ended up here to spend some holidays and it was the best ending of my Spanish journey I could wish for. Thank you so much for the great stay! Highly recommended.
