Calpe has everything you need for a good holiday. A lovely beach, historic Old Town, great bars and restaurants and a good choice of shops. We ate in a variety of restaurants, food was excellent and prices varied according to the menu. We stayed in early June, there was only a life guard on the beach at the weekend. The lady in the tourist office in the old town was very informative. Easily accessible from Benidorm by bus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely resort. Good beaches with fine sand and clear water.
Lovely resort. Good beaches with fine sand and clear water. Nice cliff walks with wonderful scenery. Plenty of restaurants to choose from with very reasonable prices. Good connection to other resorts for day trips mainly by train or local bus.
Went to climb the rock and only went half way as found the rocks were slippery and as mentioned you do need walking boots and not just trainers as we tried to do.

Calpe was lovely, plenty of bars and restaurants. We had our Maltese pooch with us and he was made very welcome.
Plenty of lovely walks around, beautiful scenery, you need good comfortable shoes. We stayed in the Old Town, this was interesting and pretty. Shout out to a fabulous restaurant: El Santo in the old town, made us very welcome and lovely food. We found Calpe to be extremely clean and friendly. :)

We enjoy walking and there were so many places to walk to.
We enjoy walking and there were so many places to walk to. Les Bassetes has a lovely cafe/bar. The old town is great to walk around as is the port area.
Playa del Arenal-Bol seems to get mentioned a lot in articles on Calp but we enjoyed Platja de la Fossa. This is the "other side" of Ifach and has many cafes and shops.
And then of course there is Ifach itself. I recommend booking a day to visit before you leave home.
The tram enabled us to visit Benidorm, Altea and Denia.

Calpe, nestled on the Costa Blanca, feels like it’s straight out of a postcard. Let me share our impressions:
Picturesque Views: The town boasts a dramatic rocky headland and palm-dotted beaches, all kissed by the Mediterranean waters. It’s a visual treat for anyone who appreciates natural beauty.
Beachside and Harbor Delights: We found the beachside and harbor area to be the prettiest part of Calpe. Strolling along the waterfront, watching boats sway, and feeling the sea breeze—it was idyllic.
Avoiding Crowded Center: However, we’re not fans of the crowded central area and bustling promenade. For us, the quieter corners near the beach and port held more appeal.
In summary, Calpe offers a delightful blend of ancient history, scenic wonders, and modern comforts. Whether you’re a nature lover or seeking relaxation, this coastal gem has something to offer.

Plenty of excellent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Plenty of excellent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Lovely walk to the Calpe rock. Easy car journey to Altea and Moraira.
Especially enjoyed walking uphill to the old town. Loved the restaurant "La Cena" and the "il Posit. Walking the sea front in Altea and up to the old church was super.
Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on. Really spacious for 3 of us. Has everything you would need in the kitchen. Feels like a home away from home and we were sad to leave. Two minute walk from the beach which was quiet and the vibe in Calpe is just perfect.
The hosts accommodated us at extremely short notice (we booked 3 hours before arrival) when a property we had booked in Benidorm did not work out due to noise. We were on a climbing trip and the location is perfect for travelling around the crags in Costa Blanca.
The location was superb, so close to the beach and amenities. The apartment was clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen.
It was just my Father and I who stayed and we had a bedroom and a bathroom each. But a family of four, or a group of friends could stay here comfortably. The living/dining area is large and the balcony is quite spacious.
We could have stayed in Calpe for longer.
Possibly one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in, and i have stayed in a lot over the last 20 years.
The room was fantastic, the hotel staff were wonderful and the breakfast was without doubt the best ever. While having breakfast, the views of the beach were outstanding.
If it's possible to arrive and just pay for breakfast i would certainly think about it, as i don't stay far away.
The hotel is very clean with comfy beds and about 5 minutes walk from 2 of the best beaches in Calpe. Both beaches are wheelchair accessible and they have a lot of restaurants and things to do. The cleaners and receptionists are so friendly.
