I had an exceptional stay at Can Clothas Hotel Masia. The setting is simply beautiful—a charming old masia surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, blending authenticity with modern touches. A special mention goes to Claudia, who works here: she is absolutely wonderful. A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Photos: The Bridge and Town at Besalu, The lake at Banyoles with early snow on the mountains, the 'common room' at La Fustana, and the morning view from there.

What a beautiful hidden gem in a lovely, quiet little village. The staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, the breakfast especially. The room and four-poster bed are comfortable and traditional. This is our first time here, but we will be returning. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel. In addition, a real bonus was private parking directly behind the hotel.

From the outset this was a great experience. Friendly and humorous staff, clean and well-planned room. Superb location, good car parking all at a price that puts all the hotels we stayed out on our trip to shame. The breakfast was great, in fact I can't think of much to criticise.
