Great base to make day trips to top Andalusia, even though...

Great base to make day trips to top Andalusia, even though you drive there on mountain roads (which for me is fun and have superb views), you love to wake up there and go back there. About the city you can read elsewhere; I can add a very residential, friendly, and super safe. Lot's of people visit it, but the public parking is never full and free. If you do mountain walks - even better.

I have visited Comares often over the last 25 years.

I have visited Comares often over the last 25 years. My parents moved to the area in 2001 and I have had the great pleasure of spending many holidays here. I would thoroughly recommend taking the time to come and take a look for yourself. There are plenty of things to do, relax in the square with some tapas and a glass of wine, explore the quaint Spanish lanes and stop to take in the breath taking scenery. There are guided walks, climbing and the zip wire! It really does have something for everyone.

So lucky with the weather just before Christmas.

So lucky with the weather just before Christmas. Lovely blue sky sunny days and cold nights where log burner fire a bonus. Great walking trails around Comares and nice friendly places to eat and drink in the village.

Comares is absolutely beautiful and this has to be THE most convenient apartment in town, as it’s pretty well the first one in the village. Very easy parking close by, a mini supermarket right next door (fans of Last of the Summer Wine, think Auntie Wainright…) bars and restaurants within 200 yds. The views are to die for, quite exceptional and the apartment, while bijou, is very comfy and has everything you need. The aircon is extremely efficient. Juan is a very responsive host and check-in was a doddle.

The house is very well equipped and furnished beautifully. Check in went very smoothly and the owner is very responsive to messages. The welcome pack is very informative with lots of useful hints and tips for the local area and places of interest. Comares itself is stunning! the views are incredible and the walks that have been created around the area are easy to find and follow. If you are thinking of a visit then please stay at this charming & historical property, you wont regret it!
