Jaca is a handy base for the western Pyrenees with a lot of great bar and restaurant options. The town itself is fairly scruffy but is improved considerably by the large park in the centre with partial Pyrenean views. There are much cuter villages around but Jaca is a good option if you want a bit of buzz in the mountains.
We have stayed in Jaca on many occasions over the years on our annual drive from the UK to Torrevieja in SPAIN. Lovely quaint town with plenty small bars to sit and enjoy the sunshine and watch the world go by. Good selection of restaurants to choose from and moderate prices. Very clean and well looked after with a myriad of narrow streets to explore with shops to visit. Lovely place to visit
Convenient to town bar food good no drinks in room empty fridge in room and smaller room than our previous visit and more expensive even though we supposedly had a frequent visit discount not as good as our previous visits
Unfortunately I’ve only ever stayed in Jaca on route to other places. It is an easy place to walk around with a number of good restaurants. I would recommend Jaca as a place for all ages at any time of year.
Many restaurant and cafe closures in town in September. Difficult to fill in a particularly long whole afternoon in town with shop closures for psiesta. Taxis and public buses - very limited availability. Very limited English speaking business proprietors/staff.
Going into hotel in the old town was mixed . Your in the middle of everything but parking was impossible. Nice ambience lovely restaurants . View from hotel was lovely. A little noisy but when we closed the shutters it did muffle the street noise.
Beautiful well cared for building. Classically stylish with an eye for quality. Spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable large room, with great bathroom and bathtub. Excellent price. Location couldn’t be better, on a beautiful, leafy road next to a park, la cuitadella and the old center. Simple but good and very well priced menu. Stay here if in Jaca! We loved it! It was perfect and magical.
Jaca
Excellent place to relax and sleep well, then you can walk into Jaca old town in 5 minutes. In fact this top part of Jaca is the nicest anyway. Owners who live there are really nice people (so behave yourself!!) and you can chat to them if you like, but if you prefer you can still have all the independence you want. I really liked being there and was actually quite sad to leave!
The place was really clean upon my arrival. Lady at the reception addressed me in English and we went along just fine. Reception closes for the night starting with 22. I was able to find free parking in the street, or one street away from the hotel for each night during my 3 nights stay. Neighbourhood looks good, feels safe
Location outside the city center, so a bit more quiet Friendly reception and helpful front desk team Parking possible on site (on the street and in a private garage for a fee) Two supermarkets right next to the hotel Junior Suite nice and roomy with a nice balcony Nice bathroom Decent breakfast selection
We have stayed here before and love the location, the facilities and the price! We usually stop over on our travels back to Santander. Clean hotel with great bar / cafeteria and within a 10/15 minute walk if bars restaurants and the central plaza. Lovely outside terrace and fabulous staff.
Jaca
Very clean hotel. Great communication so self checkin was smooth and trouble free. Room is spacious and clean. There is free coffee and cakes. No private parking but it is easy enough to park on the streets nearby.
We love this hotel, it is on the route between Calais and the Spanish Costas and it’s a perfect stopover. We would like to stay longer and explore the area.
Travelled as a family of 6. Lovely friendly hotel and great central location. Great location for a short stop over.
Very clean hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Underground parking, free for motorcycles. Breakfast was good also
A terrific hotel in a terrific location. The room was very clean and comfortable with a delicious breakfast.
The people who work there are all personable and helpful. The restaurant was good food and good value.
Lovely hotel near the centre of Jaca , staff were great and people of Jaca were incredibly friendly
Nothing apart from the location. The old town of Jaca is very attractive. The new parts are not...
