Set in the heart of Picos de Europa National Park, Hostal Peña Santa is located in Soto De Sajambre. Offering free Wi-Fi, the charming guest house has a bar and restaurant. A great location for hiking in the more western PixelMaster A GREAT LOCATION from which to hike in the western classic of Los Picos . The old village of Soto is a very good glimpse of the traditional ways of rural life. We were able to enjoy a guided cultural and ecological tour of 4 hours for free with two national park rangers which starts at the hotel apparently every Tuesday. Another takes place on Thursdays. We did two other full day hikes. Meals were tasty and ample and good value.
Featuring free Wi-Fi, a restaurant with mountain views and flat-screen TV, Hostal La Cuna del Sella guest house is located in Oseja de Sajambre, in the Picos De Europa National Park. Everything about this place was amazing, the staff, the food, the cleanliness, and the location. It was beautiful, it was perfect. We were treated so well and had such an incredible time exploring. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!
Located in Oseja de Sajambre, Hostal Les Bedules has a restaurant, bar, shared lounge, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring a tour desk, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Very clean, good braekfast, quite room, great location
Set in the Picos de Europa National Park, Hotel Puente Vidosa overlooks the Aguasaliu Waterfall and River Sella. It offers seasonal pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. The staff were amazing, the facilities were perfect. Such a beautiful location. Excellent food and just a wonderful experience all round. Would definitely return and recommend.
Apartamentos Aguasaliu is a self-catering accommodations set within Ponga Nature Reserve, on the border of Picos de Europa National Park. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout. Amazing Mountain View and location!!! Hospitality is above my expectations! You can buy local cheese, chorizo and cider on site, you can cook in your apartment or to enjoy Menu of the day for reasonable price!!! Highly recommended for those who like adrenaline: an Adventure Park deserves its own feedback page;)
The village is very small and has few amenities, apart from the Hostal Peña Santa and its bar/ restaurant. As far as hiking is concerned, the village is an excellent starting point, as many trails begin there and climb into the higher, hidden valleys of the Picos de Europa national park. In conclusion, Soto de Sajambre has a traditional feel and is incredibly picturesque, surrounded by beautiful scenery.
It was great for walking as there are a variety of well marked walks in stuning scenery you can do starting straight from the hostel. The village is small and at the end of the road, so no through traffic. There are only a couple of places to eat and no shop, but the food in the hostel was good and economical, with a set meal for 11 Euros.
Lovely village of about 40 houses, many prettily-decorated with lots of flowers. In the middle of several 2-day walks, but the 12km circular walk to the mountain meadow at Vegebano (we are slow and did it it about 6 hours with picnic at the refugio) was great - some of it through woods, great views. Well signposted. Lovely area in the Leon district, part of the Picos but most Spanish have never heard of it. Windy, narrow road for 4 km from near Osaja de Sajmbre, but benefits from not being on a noisy main road. Highly recommended for an off-the-beaten track stay. If staying at the Pena Santa, the helpful owner will draw you a trail map.
