Situated in a residential area just 20 minutes from the centre of Torrevieja, the hotel overlooks a rocky crag onto the golden sands of the Costa Blanca. Breakfast was very good and loved the fresh fruit. It’s situated close by where my daughter lives, so is very convenient
Fontana Plaza is a modern hotel in the centre of Torrevieja, just 120 metres from the Paseo de la Libertad maritime promenade. It offers a buffet breakfast and has a 24-hour reception desk. Great location for any activities near the marina. Parking €12 per day in underground garage. Good selection for breakfast, but, same breakfast choices every day.

Torrevieja isn’t everyone’s cup of it’s not Benidorm (though I love Benidorm too). Been many times to Torrevieja love it’s many & varied beaches bars & restaurants fabulous flamenco evenings at “Meson Salada” where Andalusian white horses dance flamenco on stage alongside Spanish ladies in traditional costume. Has to be seen to be believed.
Torrevieja was everything you could ask for as a holiday destination. As we were in the middle of the city we experienced the all aspects of a working Spanish city alongside the holiday makers along the sea front. It was easy to get around the city and was virtually impossible to get lost. Plenty of restaurants in the city and along the sea front. Plenty of supermarkets and shops, Nearby Habaneras Shopping Centre, a pleasant walk from the city centre, with a pleasant mix of shops and eateries. Easy access to the bus depot with regular buses to outlying areas like La Mata and La Zenis Boulevard. Getting to Torrevieja from Alicante Airport was very convenient with the local bus picking you up from outside the airport and taking you directly to the centre of the city and costing you only 7 euros. The buses were very convenient and we found them punctual and clean.
The seafront and half dozen roads behind pretty nice, quite smart, friendly people. The rest of town less attractive - a regular working town. Very cheap though! It grew on me over the nine days I was there. Overall good experience.
i booked Torrevieja for a week thinking there would be a lot to do.Unfortunately i felt there was not a lot to do in Torrevieja so i decided to spend a night in Cartegana ,of which there was more to explore. All in all,Torrevieja is a nice place but for me ,3 days would be plenty
The area has generally reliable weather though in winter there can be a cool wind. The area is very heavily developed with lots of traffic, chaotic roundabouts and a high proportion of foreign expat residents, (UK, Russian, German etc). If you want "real Spain" go somewhere else! There are some good beaches e.g. La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and it is accessible to a number of attractions and destinations. Restaurante Punta Prima was a highlight - expensive but excellent.
We have no plans to ever come back to Torrevieja. It is a run down place full of dog faeces on the pavements, no one seems to clean up after their dogs. Disgusting. Very dilapidated with lots of shops/restaurants closed and homeless people begging everywhere. Not a nice area at all.
Ambiance at the bar area and dining room area. Over the weekend music was provided and the clientele ( mixed Spanish and Northern European) of mature age were dancing and singing along . The Buffet type breakfast , lunch and dinner was of good quality and good value. Waiting and bar staff were very efficient and friendly.
Clean modern spacious. Just up the road from the harbour and main square. Bus stop a short distance away plus restaurants and many shops. Ideal location and apartment for enjoying Torrevieja and surrounding areas. A car is not needed.
I had a work trip in Torrevieja for three days and stayed at Hotel Madrid. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. They speak English so that is big plus for a foreigner. Location is also good, short distance to the beach.
Standard and size of accommodation was excellent. Everything catered for, hairdryer, iron etc. Central location ideal for beach and town centre. Supermarket 30 yards away, excellent bar restaurant downstairs.

Good location, nice pool area, air con worked well. Easy walking distance to supermarket, main restaurant area of town and beach
Great pool good food although not to good of a breakfast but it's the same all over spain.we stayed on for another 3 nights
Right on the beach, just a short walk to the bus stop to get the bus to Torrevieja or La Mata, pubs and restaurants nearby
Very good basic hotel next to bus station in the heart of Torrevieja. Would definitely recommend.
We are staying second time in this hotel - location is good, value for money is really good!
