It was my first time in Lappeenranta and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is fabulous, filled with history, clean, confortable, and staff is extraordinarily kind and helpful. A few blocks down the hotel's street, there's a brewery called Tuju (To you) that serves a Margherita pizza (Marko-Riitta as they call it) that's simply the best I've ever tasted. The city of Lappeenranta as a whole invites one to walk around, contemplate the lakes, its beautiful streets and parks and enjoy some of the famous South Karelia's cakes (10 out of 10). It's been definitely an experience worth repeating ;)

Gorgeous location in Savitaipale, the house is beautiful and well located on the lake shore. The manager was very kind and let me have my pick of room, which was large and close to a well-equipped kitchen. I used the traditional sauna, which was fantastic. I also rented an e-bike for an afternoon, which was a great way of seeing the surrounding forest and nearby island. The breakfast was very generous and good value.

Featuring 3 saunas and an indoor pool, this hotel lies next to 100 metres of private beach along Lake Kivijärvi. Lappeenranta is 24 km away.

The view, and over all the stay was very comfortable. It really has everything you need, so you can just bring charcoal, food and cloths and you wouldn't need anything more. The sealing in bedroom is just a low as it looks. Like 158-159 can stand just and just, so be careful if you are taller and standing up.

Salpalinjan Hovi is set in a charming, renovated school building, 10 minutes’ drive from Lappeenranta city centre.

I've been here with my family for two nights. Anne and Timo are really some of the kindest persons that we've met in Finland. They welcomed us warmly, and offered us all the information about nearby natural trails, attractions in the city and along the road towards our next stop. They also kindly gave us their bikes to reach some of the nicest spots around. Their house is a beautiful mansion immersed in one of the immense Finnish forests close to Saimaa lake, but it is easily reachable thanks to the adjacent railroad and the highway, just 10 minutes from the city center of Lappeenranta. It is an oasis of peace in the nature, and the apartments are nice, tidy and soaked by the love and the spirit of the rural life. Strongly recommended.

The property was spacious and comfortable, while being walking distance to LAB/LUT University. Upon entry to the house after a long day of travelling, the AC unit was on a warm setting and very nice to walk into. It was amazing value for money and communication with the host was seamless and easy. The sauna was a lovely touch and great for the snowy winter season. The sofa was very comfortable also. The provided bedding was an extra €15, however was very comfortable and fantastic value for money. Overall we enjoyed our time and will happily be back again!
