Everything was very clean, simple, but nice and cozy furnished. We had what we needed, breakfast was good, the personal was really polite and helpful. When we arrived at 20:30 h, it was possible to order a warm meal, which was great. There is a small restaurant and lounge with TV next to the reception. The hotel is small, approx. 4 km away from Kemi city centre (possible to walk), well situated on a bigger street, but nevertheless very calm with a big forrest behind the hotel. The hotel has also a sauna and a roof terrace where you can watch the stars and even the northern lights. The personal and hotel director are really engaged, although their English is not the best. We were quite satisfied. :)

Hotel Merihovi is situated in central Kemi, 500 metres from Kemi Station. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, free parking, a sauna and rooms with cable TV. Kemi Art Museum is a 3-minute walk away.

We traveled as a family with two adults and two children (ages 16 and 4) for a visit to Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, which is just a 1.5-hour drive away. The house we stayed in was impressively large, warm, and clean. It was beautifully decorated with Christmas ornaments, and every corner of the home was delightful to spend time in. I felt exactly as the owner described: welcomed and part of the home's history. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the house, which had everything we needed for our stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and clean bathrooms. The owner provided us with all the necessary information, including specific details about the house and how everything operated. A big thank you to the owners for this wonderful property! Honestly, if I return to Finland, I would choose the same place .
