Wonderful Location, very nice People

We stayed here whilst we were getting married at the snow hotel, we invited the photographer to take pictures outside. We fell in love with this cabin. It is so lovely, the sauna was great and the cabin was in a great location. We saw the Aurora at night out on the lake, it was very quiet and peaceful. The supermarket nearby is well stocked. It was the perfect place for our stay and we will definitely be back, my husband was in the RAF so the keyring is a nice touch ❤️

What a beautiful, clean and comfy cottage. It had all the equipment that we needed and more. The surroundings were just amazing with all the trees and the lake. You do need to hire a car to get there. We saw the Aurora 3 times during our stay which was a bonus. My family and I would certainly stay there again.

Wonderful experience. The tree house were beautiful, clean and very comfortable, with amazing views of the surrounding nature. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt peaceful and well organized. A perfect place to relax and enjoy Lapland.

It's literally an extreme experience. Fantastic art, unique location, well organized team and very cold weather. However, we did see the northern lights here, as the hotel provides surveillance call, the weather was cold and clear, and there's the frozen lake just in front of the hotel which is an ideal location to observe the sky. We spent one night in the ice hotel. Depending on what you can stand, it can be fun or nightmarish. We really enjoyed it, although for a moment, when it was so cold, we wondered why we'd spent money on it. But when we look back on the stay, we feel really happy and lucky. One word is, if you decide to spend a night in the Ice Hotel, please don't expect the comfort you would expect in a conventional hotel. Ideally, you'll come to the hotel with only a backpack. It's for a unique stay, not for luxurious comfort. By the way, be aware that the hotel is far from Rovaniemi, so there is a shuttle service. If you are 3 people, a taxi will cost you about the same price.

It was a super nice stay at the Sonka Mirror House with Lake View! We were picked up at Rovaniemi by a car shuttle and the driver even waited patiently while we tried to find the right parking lot. In the car even was a welcome snack box for us. The house was very narrow but the furniture, the electronic devices and everything were very good. The panorama window was really cool. We had cloudy weather so we couldn't see any northern lights. But this was fine as we had a 3 hour private time slot (!) for sauna AND (cosy warm!) hot tub. The sauna is very new, very beatiful and the perfect heat and view! Afterwards we loved to watch movies on the projector screen. The breakfast in beautifully decorated baskets were delicious. All the staff and especially the drivers were very friendly. It was a wonderful stay with a cosy evening and a nice start in the day! We think of going to Sonka again one day!!

Super Lokation. Only about 20min from Rovaniemi Centrum. Very nice Owners. No Problems with Check In, Key in Keybox, PIN per email. Kitchen has all what you need. Perfect location to see the Plolarligts, but we had bad Weather and didn's see that. For our Group 8 Persons was Perfect stay.

Breakfast was perfect. The location is perfect to see the auroras and we had chance to see them all night. Also, I recommend to walk to the river and spend some time with the huskies. Strongly recommend.

The glass igloo was cozy and well designed, and the atmosphere felt special. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was a great place to relax and enjoy the Arctic vibe.

This accommodation exceeded all of our expectations in every possible way!! At the time of booking, there were only four reviews. However, since many other places in Rovaniemi had complaints about outdated rooms, the fact that this property had just opened on December 1, 2025, was the first reason we chose it. We were traveling as a family that included members in their 80s, so joining an aurora hunting tour was not an option. Because all the chalets have large north-facing windows, we hoped that with a bit of luck we might be able to see the Northern Lights from our accommodation — and that was another reason for our choice. After booking, I contacted the property several times by email. I have traveled to many cities across 25 countries, but this was the first time I experienced such sincere, thoughtful, and detailed responses to every single question. That alone already left a great impression. At check-in, the staff kindly transported all of our suitcases from reception to our chalet using a small motorized cart at no extra charge. This allowed us to enjoy a beautiful 6-minute walk through snow-covered trees that felt like a magical winter wonderland setting. The complimentary activities for guests — the sledding area, ice rink, and reindeer — became part of our family’s daily routine. We also loved warming ourselves in the huts equipped with fireplaces and real logs, where we roasted marshmallows together. The absolute highlight was the breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was flawless in both taste and presentation. The dishes were always fresh, and the chef would come out immediately to refill anything that ran low — even the salmon was incredibly fresh and delicious. On Monday and Tuesday, dinner was a three-course meal, and the quality was honestly comparable to (or even better than) what you would expect from a Michelin 1-star restaurant in Paris.
