The house is a little piece of paradise! Nice bedrooms (with a bed firm enough for my back while not too hard for my teen child), a small functional kitchen, a homy living room with many books… the terrace is huge and the view of the sea just awesome! It’s a real house, for a family. Nothing fancy, but a peaceful home, with chickens singing in the morning and cows grazing nearby. The owner is beyond kind and I wish I could have stayed much longer, listening to her stories and just sharing time together… my daughter and I felt safe and happy! I wish I could keep this place as a secret, so that I can keep affording coming back, but my heart feels that I must reciprocate their kindness, so here goes my review: Come! You will certainly want to come again!

I contacted the hostess by SMS and voice call from my Fiji phone number. She responded quickly and arranged to meet me near the apartment. In fact, the apartment is easy to find, since there is a large sign over the door on the back side of the building and there is a T-Wicks shop accessible from the front side of the building. The apartment is clean, spacious and furnished with a lot of thought. Hot water in the bathroom is assured with an electric heater that begins working as soon as it is turned on. There is an air conditioner in the main space and another one in the bedroom. No problems with the wifi after I got signed in. The washing machine worked well. The kitchen had everything I needed. As a bonus, there is an electric keyboard to play with. Thought has been given to emergency situations that could arise, so a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket are attached to the walls in the kitchen area and there are flashlight lanterns with charged batteries, in case of power failure--most likely to be caused by a major storm, I suppose. Sigatoka is a small town so most places will not be far from the center, but this one is very close to the center.

We recently spent one week at Hasmatulla Holiday Apartment in Sigatoka and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. It was a perfect base for exploring the Coral Coast and surrounding areas. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.
